First visit to Townies. Modest line to get in. Service was fast and the line moved quickly. Townies offered a good variety of bagels, such as cinnamon raisin, onion, french toast, jalapeno, in addition to plain and others. Their method of boiling then baking the bagels produced a nice bite and chew experience. They offer more than bagels and sandwiches e.g., bread loaves, savory scones. The regular brewed coffee was nice, not bitter or weak. Small inside and outside dining areas. This place is an obvious favorite local shop. Be warned though, they close at noon or when the bagels sell out.

I really liked the bagels. We got them to go before our flight. It was a delicious snack before our flight

Best bagels in the CV. They just need to make a lot more of the jalapeno cheese cuz they're always the first ones to sell out !

Nice coffee and generally seems OK. Just disappointing that they missed a couple of things in our order, they were busy so perhaps a bit rushed

Just exceptional quality bagels and great vegan options like vegan cream cheese and delicious vegan lox made from cured carrots. Awesome team, always smiling, always cheery. Definite stop on a trip to Palm Springs but get there early as queue can be long after 9am.

1st timer. Don’t be intimidated by a line out the door. About 15 minutes to get an assortment of delicious bagels, egg, garlic and sesame. I should’ve tried the daily special sauerkraut & rye. Great flavored cream cheeses too. Make the trip!!!! Wait a little while, it’s worth it.

Everybody already knows how good this place is because people line up for it! We got there just in time, there were so many bagel flavor options. I went with their namesake Townie Sandwich with a couple of add ons. The staff was super friendly, like I literally want to be friends with the guy that took my order. But I'm only here on a trip, so I won't be weird. These folks are doing bagels right. Worth the line, definitely recommend making it at least once.

Just the right size/amount bagel, cream cheese and fresh lox.

Meh. Line out the door is generally a good sign of a spot to check out. Pretty disappointed in this case. Ordered a bacon/egg/cheese bagel sandwich but was told they had no bacon. Okay… went with sausage instead. They seemed to just slap on pre-cooked eggs and a gross sausage patty between a bagel sitting in a rack without heating or toasting it at all. When I asked for my cappuccino to be made “flat white” style, low on the foam, the person behind the counter said with attitude “we really don’t do that here, but we’ll make an exception just this once.” Huh, really? For a $5 coffee? They were also out of apple juice. Unimpressed.

These bagels were honestly some of the best I've ever had. It's so hard to find true water boiled bagels, and these ones had the most amazing chew and texture. Also their maple cream cheese was phenomenal. I will 100% come back here the next time I'm in the area.

If you are around Palm Desert, this bagels and coffee shop is one of the best we have ever tried! Delicious! It is a well deserved wait. Make sure to try the strawberry cream cheese bagel, it’s just outstanding!!!!

Cute little place! There was quite a line to get in the door, but it did move pretty quickly, and the service was quite good: friendly & efficient. As for the bagels, the flavors were very good and we really enjoyed them, but we both would have preferred them to be a bit denser. Maybe that's just us?

Amazing and aboslutly delicious !! The quiche and bagels are to die for and the staff is just as amazing. I literally will not eat a bagel from anywhere else. They have ruined all other bagels for me.

It seems to have become a quasi cult place: morning bagels with coffee. The ordering line at 10 am on Friday was out the door. The food isn't bad, but not THAT exceptional. I have gone there twice because friends wanted to meet there. I probably wouldn't go there on my own accord.
