a well made scone is a perfect thing. it needs NO ICING. NO SUGAR ALL OVER IT, NO CHOCOLATE ALL OVER IT. A SCONE IS SCONE IS A SCONE.. if i wanted a donut, i would get a donut.. i am not addicted to sugar like the rest of you
Excellent ambiance in this little coffee shop. Drawings by local artists (both adults and from school groups) are on the walls and the chairs are a mix of hard plastic and ancient-seeming iron. The whole vibe is "sit and stay a while". As of this review, I have tried their flat white; lemon cheesecake; lemon bar; and matcha latte, all of which were very nicely made. Currently my go-to spot for coffee in Oroville.
It is a nice place to chat over coffee and run into friends
Delicious coffee and very kind staff!!
Staff was fabulous. Atmosphere was awesome.
Wonderful place for a coffee and sweets.
It was delicious... lemon bars, snicker mocha. Truly enjoy going there.
Friendly service ...however...I ordered a Carmel machiato...strong coffee not much flavor...a small size $4.25... I'm not thrilled...
I didn't try the food this time around but gave it five stars just in case that equates to coffee. Great little place, well designed, comfortable to sit in on the cold winter days. The staff was super friendly, helped me out with my order and also just had a cheerful attitude with each other and clients. Any time I'm in Oroville I'll be sure to go here for my coffee!
Their drinks and quiches are always great. Get your scone warmed up too!
Not a great cappuccino. . The short Asian lady is extremely high strung and snappy.
Located in the heart of downtown Oroville, Mug Shots Coffee House provides a cute little hideaway for those who are looking for a pick-me-up and a lovely place to enjoy it. Bonus Points: Mug Shots provides free-wifi for customers which makes this a perfect spot to get some work done over a drink. Mug Shots has a wide variety of drinks including coffees, teas, and smoothies. I'm not a big coffee person myself (sacrilegious I know, but unfortunately I find the drink too bitter for my tastes), so I went with one of their smoothie selections - the manga mania smoothie. While waiting for my drink, I found a spot at one of their tables, whipped out my laptop and settled in to get some work done. The barista had my drink out in no time and was very kind in bringing it directly to my table. I really enjoyed the drink and the overall ambience of the coffee shop definitely adds to the experiences. The interior is very cute and reminds me of the feeling you get when you visit your grandmother's house - a nice warm homecoming. If you're looking for a cute coffee shop and a place to work, then Mug Shots is definitely for you!
My husband and I really enjoy stopping off in the morning after our morning walk to buy some freshly brewed coffee from Mug Shots. Several years ago when I was out Christmas shopping for my husband I decided to purchase him a gift certificate from Mug Shot with the hope that he would start to enjoy drinking coffee with me. Well that stocking stuffer gift was the best gift I ever purchased for him. To this day at the beginning of each month he puts down money because he doesn't want his tab to run out of funds. Back to my review, Mug Shots quaint lobby is really a great place to gather with your friends, to read a paper, or browse the internet. They also have an array of delicious pasties. Stop by, I know you will love Mug Shots and it will soon become your favorite coffee shop in Oroville.
The Monday night dinners are fabulous! Last week I got the Salmon on a skewer. It was cooked to perfection with fresh veggies, jasmine rice, asparagus, and came with an appetizer, fresh green salad AND scrumptious strawberry dessert!!! I usually get mine to go and they package it up nicely. So wonderful on a Monday night. It’s service with a smile and you can feel the love in every bite❣️ All for $24👍🏻
Yummy smoothies, breakfast burritos, & egg muffins. We stopped in a super busy morning (Feather fiesta days) and they got us right in and out. Great spot for a quick bite when downtown.
Support your local coffee shops! They have multiple non dairy options which rocks!
The breakfast and desert is great.. wasn't too impressed with the coffee.. will be back to give a second chance
I had a caramel macchiato and a bagel, it was alright not the best.
Located inside one of Oroville's older buildings in historic downtown. Great coffee, pastries and sandwiches. Owners are amazing and great at restoring buildings and being involved in the vitality of our great town.
Very cozy setting inside or on.the deck for yummy pastry and coffee with a friend.
