Food was ok. Service was disjointed with plates arriving randomly. Atmosphere was awesome for a club, great music. Just a little loud for dinner, we were shouting at each other.
Very big venue with high ceilings. Good ambiance and music for a Friday night. Went with a group of 5. They didn't require everyone being there before seating, which was nice. They only take reservations online through their website or Yelp. There are food options for everyone. 20% tip was included in the bill. Fairly easy to find parking.
I haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but I'm a fan of the cuisine that I have had the eclectic and diverse decorating will definitely be a conversation piece for anyone that visits this location parking is your first priority. Take all valuables out your car before enjoying the menu.
Blackened catfish was amazing Good greens Crab cakes with beet salad were so fire !! Great service and an even better atmosphere
MUA is #1 in my rotation of favorite Oakland restaurants. The food is always delicious, and on point and the staff are amazing and friendly. They make a mean Expresso Martini! I will always be a MUA regular. #Yum!!!!
Beautiful restaurant, service was great, drinks were good. Ordered a few appetizers. The Mac and cheese was a bit disappointing.
They have great Mac & Cheese and tofu, but the chicken wings were burnt 🔥 I get it, the lights are dimmed, and the chicken is covered in dark sauce, but they were BLACK (especially the last wing section/bone). Cocktails had very little alcohol in them; respectfully, it is not what I paid for $14 per piece. Music is way too loud; it is like sitting down for dinner at a nightclub. I am glad I tried this place, crossed it off my list, and am not going back.
Great atmosphere for gathering with friends and family for an evening out. Plenty of items for everyone. Everything we had was delicious. The steak looked amazing; definitely try the Mac & cheese. Highly recommend the lemonade cocktail 🍸
The passive-aggressive bartender we had was one of those typical San Francisco service personnel, who will give you attitude if they don't like you. That's messed up. Especially unfair for introverted customers. These waiters don't understand that they are in the service industry and how replaceable they are. Who are they to give attitude to perfectly respectful customers? These people work minimum wage for a reason. I hope all unfriendly service people get replaced by robots in the near future.
The salad was better than the protein. The ribs were small with not much meat. The wings were burnt. The waiter was horrible. He did not introduce himself. He did not do check ins to see if we needed anything or offer another cocktail
Food is delicious.Always a vibe. Does not matter the day or time. Perfect for a date or night on the town.
Really yummy! The blackened catfish was delicious and the pork spare ribs were perfect starting plate to split
The food was amazing awesome atmosphere. Customer service was top-of-the-line felt almost as if I was at a ten star 🌟 restaurant only I can give out five stars on Google. Sorry about that.
The service was excellent, the food was ok, very over price for Prawns swimming in oil with no flavor, the crispy tofu was a complete disappointment, we share the mussels, it was good, the drinks good too. The appetizers were not impressive at all.

I have been there many times but never took the time to write the review, so here it is. Love the place and atmosphere, waiters are friendly. I have tried all the dishes I listed on all my occasions and it is consistently same quality and taste. Ok beer selection and cocktails are nothing g special, so I would stick with a beer instead of a cocktail. Place is a bit noisy for a couple, but awesome for friends and big groups.
Go-to happy hour spot! The basil gimlet, all the small plates & vibe are amazing. Love bringing anyone who visits here too
Still a great place to have a drink or dinner but things are a lil different now due to covid I assume. They stop you at the door and ask questions and regulate who or how many people get in. The bar is not bustling like it used to be but the Mua Manhattan's are still the best.
Inside is beautiful, funky, fun, and unique. I can just sit inside and look around all night. It's a great place to go and hangout on any night of the week. The food is good but not good enough for the price, but I understand the atmosphere is what I'm paying for.
This a must stop ....grab a good drink at the bar or sit and enjoy a good meal ...stay late to dance!
