I cannot for the life of me understand why this place has such good reviews. Until recently, I lived in Newbury Park for 25 years. When I first moved to the area, I was excited about a locally-owned coffee shop vs the big name coffee shops. So I went it and got a latte. It was terrible. So I never went back. Years later, I heard they had boba so I went in for a boba drink. The boba pearls were nasty. Hard in the center, soft on the outside and tasted like they had been stored in a plastic Rubbermaid container for awhile. You know the taste I’m talking about. Then last week, we were in the area and thought we would get a latte. From the reviews and the longevity of the business, I thought maybe things had improved. Nope. It literally took 30 minutes to get two lattes and two bagels. It wasn’t very busy. I asked for an extra hot vanilla latte and what I got was lukewarm milk with a tiny bit of vanilla. The mocha was also lukewarm and tasted disgusting. It just wasn’t worth complaining because we didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes for two fresh lattes. Seriously, WHY do people think this place is good? Maybe the food is good… my bagel was tasty. But the coffee drinks are TERRIBLE. And why does it take so long to get an order? Two bagels = 30 minute wait time?!? It’s too bad because I really wanted to support this place over the years but never ever again.

Had such a great breakfast today. Crepe and croissant sandwich with Cappuccino. Everything tasted great, the owner was so sweet and the shop was cozy and calm. I'll definitely be back!

Our orders were prepared to perfection! The avocado toast is one of the best I ate in California! It’s on the more watery side with a fuse of onions, tomato, avocados and other subtle spice blend. Really really great! It made our breakfast perfect!

Stopped by unexpectedly while picking up Pho nearby. Grabbed 2 Americanos and it was great! The lady who greeted me and helped me out was so lovely and sweet. It's nice to have a café like this around the area!

Wow we found a hidden gem!! The shop is very cozy, the owner is very friendly and calm. Coffee is good, muffins are good, and it is fun to look at the decoration / souvenirs. We were lucky to listen to one of the regulars playing guitar and sing songs. The place offers the place to locals for music, arts, etc. very very nice!!

Such a unique store, with great coffee! The woman working there was super sweet. Had an iced oat cappuccino - delicious. Also found super cute earrings and a necklace! Lots of trinkets that are cute for the home, I want to come back!

Great little cute cafe. Delicious food, good selection, SUPER nice owner who made sure everything was perfect and to our liking. The raspberry mocha was perfect, prices were reasonable. And best part was they gave some free cookies and snacks while we were waiting for the food:)

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Where do I even begin, the moment I walked in I fell in love with the place the ambiance of this cafe is amazing and the food is impeccable. The best iced chai latte I’ve ever drank in my life and I drink a lot of chai lattes. The bagels were so crispy and soft at the same time. I wish I lived in the area so I could eat here all the time. Overall I would recommend this place to everyone and if I could bring this cafe back to NJ with me I would. Not to mention the owner is the sweetest lady ever and makes you feel so welcomed. 10/10 everyone should visit!!

I would give zero stars. Ordered cold chai. Waited. No service. Person left. No refund. Terrible. Won’t be back.

We went to Caffe Aroma at the suggestion of a local friend. We found the place very unique besides serving delicious coffee, fresh fruit and sandwiches. You can buy souvenirs and collectibles. The owner was very friendly and the place was very homey. Will visit again.
