We sat outside and the atmosphere was great with cool spring breeze. Presentations and flavors are on point. Priced very reasonably as well
Absolutely loved the self serving wine tasting
The glazed lamb ribs were delicious but 80% fat. The duck was very good
The Grove is a farm to table restaurant with a nice outside patio for dining. We enjoyed their salmon dinner and relaxing by the firepit when the night cooled down. The only drawback was that the service was quite slow. So take the time to enjoy your wine.
Lol cool amazing food 🥑
Rating: 3.8 Come here to help support culinary art students at the CIA. The kitchen staff are all CIA interns, students or recent graduates. The atmosphete here at The Grove is peaceful among Olive trees on the patio and a modern zen vibe in the interior. The menu changes so what is on the website may not be current. We came on a Saturday and the menu was smaller than posted online. We enjoyed the Fried Quail and Waffles, beet salad, BLT, and eggs benedict. These were all good but next time I would order the Burger only because the portions are small, particularly the quail which was more a miniature quail. ( very very tiny) The waffle was monstrous juxtaposed against the tiny tiny spiderlike quail . It also lacked garnish. Edible flowers? Maybe butter toppings and maple syrup creativity? Was lacking for the $21 price. Expected full size fried quail ... or shee shee plating. We are advocates for the culinary arts so we are happy to support the arts at The Grove. We are also hopeful that the learning and education will continue to promote more daring creativity but also just skilled kitchen Arts. Support the Culinart Arts!
The burrata and chicken biscuits were good. I thought the pastrami hot sandwich was okay. The friends didn't finish their benedicts; the poached eggs were overcooked, not runny on the inside. My friend liked her French toast.
Good food, although the ambition sometimes exceeds the execution - not a problem, if you set your expectations accordingly. Service is top notch, however. Be sure to take a walk-through of the gallery and kitchen when you're done!
Amazing food and wine! Amazing duck and THE BEST STEAK I'VE EVER HAD!!! Could use some work on their dirty martinis (goat cheese instead of blue cheese used and watery [not dirty enough]) but the negroni sbagliato w/ preseco was really good!
The fraudulently ran my $51 bill for $181.00...the bill was paid in full and my receipt shows $51.00... we left our Server $60.00 on a $300 bill.. that is not ok and I'm disputing my whole bill .Then your close until Wednesday.... I will never come back.
Beautiful place
Good experience, good recipes, good memories.
Beautiful setting and many options if you are hungry, food is delicious
Visiting for Wine and Dinner week 2023, we had high expectations for a tasty dinner and experience. We were not disappointed. The entire meal was excellent. The Sunday prix fixed dinner was drunken chicken with a selection of first course and selection of desserts. The Caesar was a unique spin on Asian preparation. The chicken, bathed in a toasted pineapple sauce was magnificent with mashed potatoes and slaw. Our outstanding server brought a side of carrots and absolutely scrumptious bread and butter. Desert was just outstanding, the flourless chocolate paired with yummy goodies. Coffee was perfect. We chose the 3 wine tasting offering. The Tattinger Brut was just luscious as were the Morgan Pinot and Darousch Cab. Did I mention the entire meal was just delicious, large portions and the service was excellent. We left stuffed and satisfied. Run, don’t walk to Copia or any of the Napa Valley restaurants offering exceptional meals and wine offerings for unusually low prices. Bon Appetit!
Took my wife for a milestone celebration and our service staff were top tier (thank you Collins and Juan) both the Chef and Pastry Chef showed the culinary skills through their delicious meals/dessert. (My favorite was the Dungeness Crab and Artichoke Dip 🤌) I give the overall dining experience and food a Keleven (The Office reference 😆)
Wow, this place is amazing. My daughters surprised me by planning my birthday here. They had great options for the vegetarian in the family as well. I had the short rib over polenta, it was excellent. My daughter had a New York, she says it was the best one she has had in a few years (we eat in the valley frequently) There wasn't a lot of people so I appreciated that, but we need to get the word out that this place is excellent. I can not wait to go here again. The Califlower as a main course is worth the drive here.
5 stars for atmosphere (we were outdoors but they have indoor options too), plus the food was quite well executed. 4 stars overall just cause the Saturday lunch menu felt limited if you didn’t want brunch. We got the wagyu burger and beets with ricotta, both of which were great. The wine list wasn’t as local as I would’ve expected but we also got a top off of the napa cab we ordered because it was the end of the bottle.
So glad I stopped by CIA @ COPIA & found this gem, unpretentious, seriously dedicated to culinary art and science, GF would love the Whole roasted grove cauliflower, must start with Grove garden vegetable with cumin sukkah
Made a reservation a week ahead of time, confirmed our reservation within 24 hrs, and still waited more than 30 minutes to be seated. Hostess was indifferent.
If you love wine, make sure this destination is high on your must-do list while in the valley. It’s part of the Culinary Institute of America so you can guarantee everything will be high-end and well done. They specialize in wine education and have some events almost daily in association with that. Be sure to check out everything they offer there...enjoy their fantastic sandwich shop, wine bar, and wine tasting location along with an extraordinary restaurant with one of the best patios vibes anywhere. If you are doing some touring around downtown this is a must-do.
