This is my favorite place to eat in Murphys. Their Brussel sprouts are the best I’ve ever had. All their dinner plates have generous portions and their bread and butter before dinner is great. Their atmosphere is nice and cozy inside and there is an option to sit outside as well. The bartender also makes delicious drink. 10/10

Elk done perfectly moist and lean. Absolutely excellent pear salad with spiced nuts, brie and baby greens. Steak is a generous portion and seared perfectly. This chef knows his/her stuff!! Enjoy this place for dinner!!

My wife loved the food I liked it! I had the breakfast burrito and my wife had the omelet with Veggies and ham. The waitress was just so so not too helpful. There were 8 of us and of course they added tip. And then you need to watch because they add additional tipping as if it was not included.

Our first time trying out Grounds and absolutely loved it. From the food to the service. We sat at the bar and Braden took care of us. All the staff were very accommodating towards all the customers. We will definitely be back. Thank you Braden for taking care of us.

A true gem of a find while visiting Angels Camp. Kyle was a big help in picking out the best drinks and entrees with our preferences in mind. Everything was super tasty and I plan on going back soon. 💜

This was a great find for us. We just made it in for breakfast before they closed at 11am to get ready for lunch at 12 pm. Everything was great! Service, food atmosphere, everything!

Food was very good. Love french toast and this place did not dissapoint. However service for me was ok. Dont know if it was because was dining alone or anything else. Was there for little over 30 mins and ran out of coffe about 15 mins in. I saw the waitresses ask the tables next to me if they needed coffee then leave. Towards the end of my meal i was asked if i was good by the same hostest who seated me which was the only saving grace to their staff. Also if any staff from the restaurant read these please bring knives to those who order french toast. Was given a fork and nothing else. As i mentioned before service seemed fine around me and thank you to the hostest. Food was great to the cheffs.

A wonderful little place for breakfast. My scrambled eggs with pesto and tomatoes was top notch. The house made bread has great flavor and texture. Highly recommend.

This restaurant was phenomenal. It was our first opportunity to have dinner at a nice restaurant since Covid. We sat outside on the patio in front of the restaurant. They had umbrellas and water misters for this +100 degree day. The food was excellent, the drinks were delicious, and the service was on point. We started with bread, calamari, and crab cakes. Everything so far indicated this was going to be well worth the 3 year wait. The French bread was really good, the steak-style calamari and huge crab cakes were amazing. I was split between the special of the day - prime rib - and ciopino. I went for the ciopino and was extremely happy with my choice. The shrimp and scallops were large and delicious. I'm not typically a fan of mussels and clams, but they were cooked perfectly and the entire dish was excellent. My husband had a huge pork chop and mashed potatoes, which he also loved. Highly recommend this place. Thanks for making our first dinner in a nice restaurant since March of 2020 absolutely perfect!

My sister-in-law (Murphys resident) recommended "Grounds" as a place to go to for lunch. There were five of us and all family. Quaint interior, nothing fancy, and quite comfortable. My wife and I split the eggplant sandwich. I had the salad and she ordered french fries. My son had the burrito and my daughter had a salad. My son-in-law had the Sanish Rice & Pinto Bean Bowl. I did not hear of any complaints. My wife and I enjoyed the grilled eggplant sandwich. It was excellent. The service was excellent and the waiter was attentive to our needs. It had been a couple of years since my brother George and I were there. Thank you for making our day a nice one with your restaurant and service. I am sure we will be back again the next time we are in town

We went to Grounds this past Friday, arriving a few minutes prior to 5:00 p.m. and was seated within a few minutes. We had purchased tickets for Brice Staton to see a play starting at 7:00 p.m. that evening, which is only a 10 minute drive up the road. I thought that arriving at 5:00 and leaving Grounds at 6:45 would give us plany of time to enjoy a good meal before making our way to the play. At 6:15, we had still not received our food, and noticed that the people seates at the three table next us had finished their dinners and were leaving. All three of these table were empty when we had arrived at 5:00 p.m. I told the waiter that we needed to leave in 30 minutes and finaly received our dinners at 6:30, living us with 15 minute to eat our dinners and enjoy our wine. We were a party of four and none of us were able to enjoy eating our dinners, having only 15 minutes left to eat dinner and drink our wine. I would rate the food with 4.5 stars and the service as 0, overall experance rating of 1.25 stars.

Awesome, elevated breakfast in the very picturesque village of Murphys! I had the herb omelette which I highly recommend; house coffee is NOT your average diner dishwater; it’s full-bodied and delicious. The toast is clearly made from in-house bread; potato pancake is cooked to perfection (basically it’s hash browns). Highly recommend! If you can get a table on the back patio it’s a real treat!

I didn’t try anything other than the 1/2 burger and garlic “fries” the burger was a normal burger nothing special. The fries were wedges and not fries. I am pretty sure that it wasn’t a full half pound patty either but it wasn’t off by to much. The pickles that came with the burger were tiny pickles and would never go onto a burger. All that being said it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. I’d rather stay home and make it myself.
