Always friendly servers eager to please and high quality diner-style food. Everything I've ordered has been freshly cooked. Portion sizes are average. Decor is very local and endearing. Slightly pricey for the quality.
Steve's is a great place to eat. Y'all stop in and try the steak sandwich.

Stopped here before heading into Yosemite park. It’s styled like a typical local breakfast place. Tucked away next to the gas station and for some reason GPS took us down by the park around the corner. Once we got inside, no one was there! It was nice to have the place to ourselves and not have to wait. It was around 10:30am so I assume we beat the rush. I got the stuffed pb&j French toast that was fried. Honestly that was just ok, I could’ve gone with some pancakes instead. The loaded hash browns though were amazing! My friend had pancakes and the hash browns also. It filled us up all day and lasted through multiple miles of walking through Yosemite!
We were lost on the other side of Yosemite, and needed gas and to feed the family. The gas station guy recommended Steve's place next door. He guaranteed we would like anything on the menu there. He was absolutely correct. The food was excellent, the quality was good, and they were nice enough to serve us with less that 30 minutes left to close. To top it off I had ordered the special, Shepherd's pie (excellent all around), and Steve himself comes out and offers for us to take home the rest of the lamb stew used in the dish. I love these local diners for the experiences you get, and the people that go with them. Thank you, Steve and the rest of the great staff that helped us out last night!
THE BEST PLACE AROUND for any meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner). Cannot beat Steve's jokes, folks come from miles around to hear em. Great taste, service, not overly expensive, even for this day and age. They are usually busy, especially Sundays!
I just spent $40 for two burgers and asked for ranch for my French fries and they wanted to charge me I can't believe you can't get ketchup or ranch with your French fries after they charge you $20 for a freaking hamburger

First, the food tasted ok, we got burgers to go. But, it's DIRTY. Dust is everywhere, all over the gross things that have been hanging on the walls for who knows how many years. The floor was worn out and filthy. As soon as you walk in the smell of grease and smoke overwhelms, old faded news papers and grubby flyers lying around, tables crammed together. I have a hard time trusting the kitchen sanitation based on what we encountered starting from the uninviting outside gas station exterior. **UPDATE. We look forward to trying Steve's again soon, and will hopefully rate with more stars!
