We love this place! We always eat a meal here when in Mammoth.
The fish tacos were burnt and tasted so much of onion.. overall just not great
We ordered take away a fajitas dinner and Caesar salad. My birthday dinner and I was honestly disappointed with the food because it wasn’t fresh and didn’t taste fresh. Most of the lettuce in the Caesar salad was brown and the guacamole was also turning brown. If I personally was serving food I wouldn’t serve anything that was going off like that. Rotting veggies belong in compost and if you don’t have fresh product don’t serve it to customers. The meat was not very flavorful, the rice was pretty soggy. These issues just made the meal unenjoyable. I was hungry and I don’t feel satisfied. When you open up your food and it looks rotting it just makes your stomach feel gross. It wasn’t cheap either at around $50. I just expect to be served fresh food and have high standards for quality Mexican food
Love this place food was good and service too.
This has to be the worst Mexican food I've had in California. I ordered the, "Carnitas burrito." The meat tasted like cat food. I had to throw it out. Full disclosure: I've never tasted cat food, but it definitely smelled and looked like cat food. If my Labrador had smelled it, she would have turned away and left. A fancy Feast kind of evening - it was that bad.
I didn't find the flavour of the food mexican authentic. There is lack of flavour in there!
we came for happy hour and were so satisfied with the quality of the food, the amazing margaritas, and the service!! Absolutely recommend stopping in for their chorizo fries and wings & margs- everything was delicious and I enjoyed every last thing about this establishment. If you’re in mammoth, this shouldn’t be a miss!!! Would love to come in for their regular menu sometime based on the quality of their HH offerings alone!
Miserable. Unbelievably bad. I think I probably died during the hour long wait and became a ghost invisible to the server. Had to beg for a menu, chips&salsa, cutlery, beverage, etc. Emily brought us the bill, we put down the card, then waited. and waited. and waited. Put on our coats and stood by the table. No dice. I would have just left but my dinner partner was more generous than me and went to the hostess table to pay. Out comes a manager who was a huge jerk. Makes us literally BEG to pay. Don’t waste your life + money going here. The service at the Warming Hut next door is ten thousand times better.
I had the best veggie burrito of my life here! The fajita veggies were perfectly roasted with a charred flavor that took it to another level. Ate here twice and got the burrito twice it was a wet burrito in a green salsa that had just the right kick. They do get busy here! But worth the wait! I heard other patrons say their burritos were also the best! Great food and awesome staff as well
I have come here lots of times and I really enjoy it! The only reason for the minus one star is that it didn't seem that a lot of attention was being paid to the cleaning? There was food all over the floor, some things were dirty that I touched, under the tables had junk everywhere. It could just have been that it was busy and they couldn't keep up, which is understandable. I will check it out next time and update accordingly!
Great food! If I lived in Mammoth I would smear here all the time.
Very busy place. Mexican food not as great. I am from Arizona so I guess I am biased 🙄
Good food. Waiter was pretty lame in bring wrong order after discussing the item with me. He replaced it in a few minutes. Restaurant was FREEZING!
Honestly, it's my favorite Mexican restaurant, hands down. The salsa is so good with the perfect amount of cilantro. Really you can't go wrong with any dish, but my favorite is "Larry's Salad", basically a taco salad with delicious shredded chicken and rice. Margaritas are stellar.
The waitress was really sweet but when a guest at my table complained about a very sharp chicken bone found in a burrito, the owner came over and gave us an absolutely awful attitude for no reason. Never once apologized made us seem like we we're the ones that stabbed her in the throat with a bone. Avoid this angry woman at all costs. Been here 3 or 4 times but we will never be back and I suggest you do the same.
Great Mexican food in Mammoth. The food was very tasty and the burritos were quite large. The chili relleno and taco combo also yummy. Service was a lil slow, but I believe that was only due to being very busy. We were here the 1st week of the year and tons of folks in town. Margaritas delightful and beer cold. Cost a lil high for Mexican food but average for the area. Give them a try when in town.
Nice atmosphere, pleasant and friendly staff. Food is large portions.
Amazing atmosphere and food! They also have some unique options (lobster fajitas, duck burrito, etc.). So great all around. The wait can be long so try to go during off-hours if possible!
Best margaritas in town. Amazing traditional Mexican food
Awesome local spot. It gets crowded during peak times, but also turns tables quick. Solid food and service definitely worth the stop.
