This place seems like a hidden gem, though $7 for an ice coffee is a bit much if the taste doesn’t match the price.
Get out and enjoy a walk life's out there
Adorable location. You're a captive audience so they could way overcharge, but the prices are on par with the neighborhood. No bathrooms, but there's a public one across the street
Have you read Chirri & Chirra? Starting from the bear statue and the ferndell trail and stopping at the cafe is so magical just like the story! All the food I have had and pastries are amazing. The biscuits are full of flaky layers, the apple tartine is perfectly balanced, the scones are texturally perfect. My only complaint is the lemonade is more natural than sweet so skip it for the kids. All in all a perfect stop.
I think it maybe vegan, but it's good. I've tried strawberry rhubarb pie in the past, was great. Liked trail sandwich as will
Oh my gosh. So tasty! Had the chickpea salad sandwich. Yum. Chai was perfect for a chilly afternoon. Nice place to enjoy nature.
Amazing place for a hike
Chocolate chip cookies are really good (not gluten free or vegan). They're big and yummy. Avocado sandwich is really good and big enough to share if you're not fully hungry. Happy tea (iced) is really good too. Also a fan of the cheddar chive biscuits. Seating is quiet and plenty in the middle of nature.
What could be better than a coffee shop in the middle of the park
Recently booked an appointment at Beverly Hills Ultrasound. My technician Melissa was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, easy to work with and put me at ease regarding the condition of my pancreas, liver and kidneys. She emailed me imagines for my records and future comparison. She is extremely passionate about her work and I highly recommend her.
A great place to bust wide open the calorie deficit you created by hiking OR to refuel or top up from the energy you have already expended after a hike. Beautiful setting. Be aware that nothing separates you from the rest of Griffith Park. Coyotes are known to visit the cafe and immediate area. Do not leave your dog off leash or unattended while you patronize the cafe.
Everything on the menu I tried was great, e.g. the coffee or the fresh lemonade. Eggs Nest and the cookies are yummie. They have outdoor seating but the area is currently remodeled. There is still some space to sit but not much. Parking is sometimes hard but free. Last time I even saw a deer around this area.
I think we must have come on a bad day. They had no espresso so virtually all the coffee drinks were unavailable and just a few pastries - no sandwiches or salads or anything. Which would have been nice to know BEFORE we waited in line for 20 minutes.
Our visit to this awesome with my wife was super cool, her friend reccomend this place which is near the observatory , parking along the street , there are benches to chill with nature, very friendly staff, we got some coffee, eggs in the basket somethng like that, and something like a tart with cheese peppers i dont really remember but the food is amazing we will definetely have to go for more, we highly reccomend this shop.
This place is great. Really charming, lots of shaded outdoor picnic tables to sit at, and the food and coffee are delicious — way better than a café in a park has any right to be. Pricewise it’s on par with other artisan coffee shops. The only negative really is that waits can be quite long.
Amazing fresh and generous sandwiches, very good real iced tea in a cozy dining area.
Great food and drink options. I wish they did smoothies though!
They do not provide a itemized list of your purchase leaving you to presume the person taking your order has keyed in the items correctly and that you're being charged correctly. I've always been provided an itemized bil at every other retail establishmentl, and I've found that clerks have made mistakes in the past keying in purchases that shoukd not have been included. And since this is the very 1st time this has happened, I have to believe there must be a city or other legal requirement to provide a customer an itemized bill showing what the customer is paying for. The itemized bill should NOT remain exclusively in the hands of the seller as they have a vested interest in opposition to the buyer. If that is indeed a requirement, then this establishment is in violation. If this is not currently a requirement, it should be, even if only displayed electronically and wuth the customer then giving assent to the charge. I hope management will respond to this review, if not, I intend to take this up with whichever city department is in charge.
Beautiful little cafe enroute to Griffith Observatory (or on the way back). Pet - friendly, pleasant staff. Queues can be long, so plan accordingly.
A fun cafe in the park, lots of outdoor seating. The frittata is really excellent. Parking can be a chore at times, but that is LA.
