Great markets with lovely plants and trinkets. Food and coffee is a tad on the pricy side, but not excessively so. Definitely a good spot to go with friends or alone.

Horrible customer service , never experienced anything like that. Person in the morning shift today with striped tank top and eye glasses. Thanks for an attitude. Walked in , while I was getting close to register, this person looked at me with an attitude and turned away , then looked again and turned away again with mad face. I stopped to order, not even hi, or something , this person was just keep looking away from me, and kept sitting covering face with a hand. I was confused. I asked are u ready to take an order? Answer was : mhhhhmmm. Person barely spoke to me. I walked away. And waited for another person to take an order. I loved stopping by this place.NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Adorable place on Fairfax. Very comfortable working space for a couple hours of your day if you work from home. Their food is exceptionally good for a coffee shop. Please give the breakfast sandwich a try! I have been ordering it every single time I go to this store because the flavor is exquisite.

OK coffee and pastries but the food was low-effort and underwhelming for the price.

Local is a place that feels like home. Always friendly staff, and amazing lattes. They’re willing to accommodate making your lattes warm or piping hot, which I appreciate. Whichever you prefer, but good coffee speaks for itself! The baristas have really got a handle on their latte skills and they have the most bomb breakfast sandwich! After spending a nice day at the museums, you’ll want to stop by this lovely cafe.

Mocha was nice, pastry was tasty, but any place that charges almost 5 dollars for a small warm milk (for a toddler) isn't worth going to very often for me.

I’ve been looking for an alternative coffee spot i can go to when my-go-to (Erewhon) place is too busy or too slow. I’ve now stopped by this place three times and here is my honest takeaway: nice (service) girls, cute place, scalding/expensive lattes and not one good pastry choice. Quite disappointing. If you’re going to be in the coffee business and can’t even make a drink, you probably should consider the nursery side of the business and stick to selling plants. I spend more money here than I do at Erewhon. Doesn’t make any sense.

It is a good place with good staff, but the coffee was truly awful. It was by far the most burnt and somewhat stale coffee drink I've ever had.

BIL wanted me to experience their amazing breakfast sandwich so we walked over early Saturday morning. The sandwich was everything he promised and my Americano was fine (passed the no-added-milk test :-). There is a separately owned gift shop inside, with a nice range of quality goods, and plenty of cozy, clean places to sit on a chilly Fall day. Counter folks were friendly, kind, skillful.

Food and coffee was yummy (got 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 lattes), but service was….ok. Both me and my friend have dietary restrictions that were met but we were made to feel like an inconvenience. Also the upcharge that came with those dietary restrictions had us spending nearly $70 (because of course I left a good tip). Honestly wouldn’t come back, but it was nice to have it just the once.

There's no better coffee shop in Los Angeles and that's a fact. I heard Obama say it once so it has to be true. But no joke, that pastrami sandwich has my grandma rolling in her grave cursing that she didn't come up with the recipe herself.

Best coffee shop in LA. The quality of food/coffee is unbeatable, the environment is full of natural light, plants, and a variety of seating options, but what really takes the cake is the staff - have never experienced a more welcoming coffee shop experience. love this place always !
