The best coffee I’ve had so far in LA. Reminds me of Vietnamese coffee with the foam. Anyways great vibes and ambiance. They have signature drinks which were amazing, the ube waffles were pretty good, loved the texture to them. I’d come back!

What an absolute pretty store. More surprisingly is that their food is so good, probably one of the best lunch I’ve had in LA! Coffee is quite presentable and good! What a gem in this neighborhood!! Love it!!

Tried this place on a whim & LOVED the chicken and waffles! Delicious, fluffy ube waffles with freshly fried chicken. I ordered the prosciutto toast as well, but there was too much arugula & barely any prosciutto. I wanted to love it but the chicken and waffles stole my heart. The ambiance is nice & clean! The staff was also very nice. Very limited parking!

I was really excited to come to this cafe because I heard a lot of good things about it. But once I received my order my feelings changed fairly quickly, I ordered the chicken and waffles. Oh man, that was a bad choice please don't waste your time ordering this item. The chicken wasn't cooked fully and the waffles were cold. I ordered the specialty drink they had which was the Laveta and that was ok. The customer service was fairly good but I wouldn't dare go back.

Ridiculously long wait for pretty food that tastes like nothing.

I came here with a friend when they just open so it wasn't busy. We ordered the matcha latte and matcha misto. Both were so good, probably one of the best matcha I have had in awhile. There is a nice sitting area outside. The parking lot is a bit tricky since its small and have a steep hill. By the time we were leaving, there were no open table left so it does pick up. Come early if you want a table to get some work done.

My husband and I popped in here spontaneously and decided to get a coffee. We love coffee so we are always down to try a new spot. The vibe was cool but a little stark. It seems like a decent hang out spot. We got the laveta drink with the oat milk and espresso. It was decent but the ratio of milk to coffee was a bit off. Maybe that’s because I was expecting more of a cortado? I’m not sure but I do feel that the drink was somewhat subpar at best and the milk washed out the espresso flavor. The staff is def cool but I’ll say $6.50 for a coffee was too much for what it was.

Pretty solid cafe eatery on an up and coming / developing street filling up with more modern businesses to attract the hood. Drinks are fantastic, great espresso pulls and their signature drinks are *Chef’s Kiss* delicious. Have had their Ube, Horchatta and Andante Lattes, and all are equally unique and well balanced. Surprisingly or maybe not, the food is equally amazing. Their food menu is far from an afterthought. Quality, and well seasoned. You know they got that ethnic touch when they actually season the eggs unlike most places with a breakfast sandwich on the menu! It’s a pretty extensive menu for food as well. I’ve only managed to eat said sandwich and the Ube Waffles and I was sold. As for pastries they did have some croissants which were alright. If I can dock a star and be nit picky, the design of this place is incredibly brutal-minimalist, almost something you’d find in lower Manhattan or Soho. And you can feel it. It’s pretty uncomfortable to sit inside with it’s wide concrete built-in benches with tiny barely high off the seat tables that easily topple over. Generally this kind of design while modern, is to detract from people hanging out too long. But most hipsters are not gonna care anyway. They have outdoor seating too along the narrow patio with a more comfortable seating arrangement. So it’s slightly more comfortable than indoors. They also have a small parking lot which is always a godsend out here in this barren wasteland of parking spaces. So you should definitely check it out!

The food was not superb, but was not bad.The service was good. And I've seen better atmosphere elsewhere. They had no atmosphere. That was their atmosphere is having no atmosphere.

Laveta is always a must for me when I’m in LA. It was the first place I experienced an ube latte and was shocked when I found out they had one! It tasted so fresh and was crafted perfectly. The shop is super quaint and the staff is super friendly. They also have a lovely patio and my açaí bowl was yummy as well. Just a little tip, parking space in the shops parking lot is very limited so you’re more than likely going to have to parallel park on the neighboring street unless you get lucky. :) Recommend!!!
