New in the neighborhood. I thought I'd find my spot for breakfast. I went there 5 days in a row to have my morning late there. The welcome has always been cold, without a smile or even a hello. Greeting customers with a hello and a smile is the least you can do when running this kind of (overpriced) business. Today the owner completely messed up my latte. I was the only customer at the time. He was not in the rush at all. I won't be going back there again. I will save money.

In A Nutshell: -Coffee Tomo located in Little Osaka is a gem -I enjoyed one of the best Americano coffees I've ever had, no watered down taste, quality beans! -My partner's Red Bean Latte smelled & tasted exactly as advertised...Red Bean! -The Avocado Toast we shared was amazing, nice buttery avocado sliced up on a bed of arugula & toasted bread. -They are famous for the pretzels, so I tried their plain one. -It came out nice, hot & delicious. -Definitely gonna try their Jalapeno Cheese Pretzel next time. Overall, I really like this coffee shop, will be back again for sure.

Wifi horrendously slow. Several other customers asked me if my wifi was also almost basically not working at all and I assured them they weren't alone. All due respect, but we aren't walking in with our laptops for your coffee. We're trying to get some work done. So to the owner: take some of that money we hand you for overpriced hot water and upgrade your fricking wifi. Maybe spruce up your toilet too.

Today when I ordered my coffee and some pretzels to go, we sat down to wait for it. After 5 min or so I went up to the counter to see if the coffee was ready. The three baristas looked surprised that I was asking and it quickly became apparent that the tan male guy had forgotten to make the drink. One of the women looks annoyed like this happens a lot and starts to make it for him, and he comes over to her and apologizes to HER while I stand there waiting, and starts talking to her about how the reason he forgot to make the drink is he was distracted by his own conversation with the other barista about a call from their boss about why he was late to work this morning. So he forgot to make my drink, apologized to his co worker instead of me, and explained with a laugh that it's because he's already so bad at his job he can't show up on time. Nice.

Shout out to the guy working yesterday afternoon (Friday 4.29) who was hustling all day to provide speedy and excellent customer service to a nonstop crowd. I don’t think he had a minute to himself in the 2.5 hrs I was working from here. And on top of that, the health inspector came in, but he handled it in stride. Owner- give this guy a raise.

Best coffee place I’ve been to in LA, hands down. I’m Hispanic and used to drinking Cuban coffee everyday so I know what I’m talking about. Their Tomo Coffee is the closest thing I’ve gotten to genuine Cuban cortadito in LA so far. Highly recommend.
