I've heard about this place and definitely wanted to check it out. Since we were going to see a show at the Belasco and it was right down the street, it was the perfect opportunity to pop in. Man, I tell you, I couldn't have been happier about that decision. First of all, Kai, who was working, was super helpful and knowledgeable. I had a couple of questions about the wings and the sandwiches, and he broke everything down for me. Let me know about how they make everything fresh there, including all their sauces. He recommended I get the Birdies spicy chicken, and it was fire! So delicious! My son got the garlic parmesan wings, & he inhaled them. While standing there waiting for our food, we were looking at the donuts, and Kai broke those down for us, too. We had to grab a couple for breakfast in the morning. We haven't had them yet, but I'm sure they're going to be phenomenal. We also did try their horchata donut, and it was fantastic. This place is definitely worth coming into and checking out, and if you're lucky, maybe Kai will be working.

Birdies is one of My fave spots to catch a quick, affordable bite when I'm in DTLA. They make an excellent chicken; juicy, flaky breading, nice crunch. Shoestring fries are nice and simple. Plus, if you si desire they have Bomb donuts to grub on. It's especially good on the weekends. Fridays and Saturdays they stay open til 3 am.

I love their Spicy Chicken sandwich with the ghost pepper. It's always perfectly juicy and crispy with a strong heat that doesnt linger too long. A nice big filling piece of tender chicken. This is my favorite chicken sandwich in LA. Made fresh so there's always a wait but worth it to me. Optionally get the tater tots. Small shop that also sells unique donuts.

For being in Downton LA, the price is very reasonable and the portions are filling. A single chicken sandwich should properly fill you up as the chicken size is bigger than expected, especially for $13. I went towards afternoon and they had a buy one, get one free in donuts which were really worth their price at that time. Also ordered the Strawberry Matcha for $7, will really depending if you like Matcha.

Very average chicken sandwich but bonus points for friendly service. Overall the quality wasn’t bad but the chicken in my sandwich was incredibly flavorless. It reminded me of boiled chicken. The fries were also very obviously straight out of the freezer and did not impress. I got two chicken sandwiches, fries and two bottled drinks and it was somehow $42 but you live and you learn I guess. Overall it wasn’t disgusting or anything just nothing special, especially for $20+ per person

One of the best tasting chicken sandwiches I’ve had. Love the slaw because it has peppers and it gives it a good kick.

Leaking bathroom sink, no soap, broken faucet. Dark specs in water, good napkins. Donut was kind of flavorless and not soft. Spicy chicken sandwich was a good spice, coleslaw and pickles were alright. The chicken was not tender, flavorless, and the breading was soft and slipped off the chicken.

Really great service and even better food. I was in town for 2 days and hit it both days for breakfast. The fried chicken bacon, egg sandwich was the best I have ever had.
