Excellent! Pleasant atmosphere, smelled lightly of fresh ground coffee, friendly staff, great prices, and excellent food and beverages. I highly recommend it.

No restroom for customers - only for employees. Had to walk down to Whole Foods to use a restroom. Not an acceptable restroom policy for a coffee shop…

Peet's Coffee & Tea in Lafayette, California is the best coffee house in the Bay Area! I have been to several Peet's locations, and this location has the most friendly employees and provides the highest quality of service that I have experienced. I always love the drinks that I order there as well.

I used to come to this Peets coffee every Sunday morning with friends. We’d also grab a Noah’s Bagle and hang out in back. Over the years, I started going to other Peets but this one still holds a place in my heart. It always smells great, is super clean and the staff is helpful. I love the courtyard in back though every time I go there I wonder just how much better that area could be if the landlord gave any effort to improve it. The courtyard behind Peets could be the best place in Lafayette but since it hasn’t been touched in the last 20 years, I doubt it will. Nevertheless, the space in back still enhances the visit to Peets so give it a try and let me know what you think.

Unfortunately these guys can’t make a consistent small iced vanilla latte if their life depended on it. It ranges from tasting like pure vanilla to just espresso shots. Unfortunately I’m forced now to drive to Alamo where they can make a consistent Vanilla iced latte every time. Lafayette should send some employees over to Alamo to get trained.

Always a great “vibe” here. Helpful staff, greatly improved bakery options. Best of all-great coffee!

It’s delicious coffee and nice friendly staff. Food is tasty, though the food menu is a bit limited. A double (shot) latte is stronger than the equivalent Starbucks drink, so head-to-head, I would choose Peet’s. The ability to get a free specialty coffee when ordering beans is a nice bonus. Parking in the strip mall parking is free and easy. It can get busy weekday mornings if the local bike club decides to take a stop there. If possible, order ahead on the mobile app. Four stars because now and again the egg and cheese sandwich was not fully cooked through. Be sure to check out the rear of the coffee shop for outdoor seating - there’s only one table out front and few tables inside. Overall this is a nice little neighborhood coffee bar with a laid back, friendly vibe.

Peets is the best

I like Peet's, but this shop is the best of them all. They are super friendly and always consistent. Especially, Leesa, who is awesome and Faith, who makes the best latte ever.

I went in to buy some of my favorite ground coffee. There was hardly a line. I was in and out in few minutes. Service was great.
