It was fun to sit at the counter eating cookies and staying warm with coffee on a rainy day
We stayed up in Fort Bragg this past weekend. On 4/29 we tried this coffee shop and the service was amazing along with our drinks. We were so excited to go back on 4/30 and support such a cute local coffee shop. We both couldn’t stop talking about how nice it was to find a cute hole in the wall shop. However, we went back this morning 4/30 around 9am. We were pumped and couldn’t wait for the pastries & coffee. I ordered a iced Carmel macchiato Because it was so good yesterday and the orange cranberry scone. As we were grabbing our items the female barista started saying to the male barista and began mocking me, “ hi welcome to Starbucks can I get a Carmel Macchiato.” Then proceeded to make more side comments about how this place wasn’t Starbucks and they began laughing at my order. I honestly felt extremely awkward and weird about my order after that and didn’t feel like my drink was anything crazy to be made fun. I left not wanting to drink my drink. Super sad because the two people working yesterday were so sweet and I don’t know what happened with the workers today. As someone who would rather support a small business I feel offended by their comments. I know nothing will come of posting this, but I just felt rubbed the wrong way by their behavior.
Really quick friendly service. Tasty pastry! Spent 19.80 on two coffees, two pastries, and two cookies. Try the green Chile cheddar scone! Ate it so quick forgot to snap a pic.
Loved the coffee. The staff is cheerful. Loved the selection of cookies and scones and pastries. Highly recommend.
The best cookies. Favorite is the backpackers cookie
A couple of local kooks ruined the atmosphere. A lot of locals.
Soft cookies, super friendly staff. Their hot water was down so they gave us a deal on the cookies. Now that’s small town hospitality! 👌
LOVE the pastries; coffee was great (eggnog latte - YUM), and service was phenomenal. Prices are affordable too. Definitely worth the stop!
This is my favorite local coffee shop. Drinks was delicious and pastries fresh and tasty 😋
Absolutely amazing. Wendy greeted us with a warm welcome. Then when we couldn’t decide on a cookie to split she treated us to one on the house to indulge individually instead of having to share. Absolutely amazing! Must try the chocolate chip walnut cookies.
P H E N O M E N A L ! ! ! Amazing customer service, super fast, and it was delicious! I ordered an oat milk chai tea latte with a double shot and it was a perfect balance of chai and espresso. The best small shop I’ve been to in Fort Bragg so far! Will be returning when in town again!
Delicious coffee, Italian sodas and cookies. Staff is friendly, helpful and you will not be disappointed. They have a walk up window to order or you can go inside. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
Cool building and lots to see. Good coffee and lots of breakfast food options in pastry form. Very nice people and great service.
They have really great pastries! The coffee is also excellent and reasonably priced. We were passing through and needed to work for an hour so we stopped by after a few other places didn’t have outlets to plug in our computers. There’s a cute atrium area if you need to work for an hour or 2. Be aware, they ask you only plug in for an hour (which in my mind it totally reasonable).
I was so happy to see this place open. I've wanted to come here for years and finally got the chance. The coffee was local and super tasty. The mocha was heavenly almost silky on your tongue. The blueberry scones were so dreamy. I want to go back right now. Can I? It's the northcoasts best kept secret.
They don’t speak Starbucks, and that’s five stars in my book! Awesome coffee and killer selection of cookies! Shop local…..drink local. It’s worth it.
The coffee was excellent (which is rare in this area) I had one double fudge brownie and chocolate chip cookie and they were AMAZING Very recommended
They know your name. They know your poison. The people are the wow factor. The locals know where the good brew is at. Visitors come seeking Backpacker Cookies. That the store is housed in the historic Company Store (for the families of employees who once ran the lumber mill) is just gravy.
Very tasty cookies, muffins and coffee! Staff is also very friendly and nice. Kept coming back 3 days in a row because it was so good! Especially the lemon poppy muffin, white mocha strawberry coffee and the peanut butter cookies 😋 .
Their cookies are amazing, coffee delicious and they have a friendly staff to boot!!
