Small but cute coffeehouse in downtown El Segundo. They have a great selection of pastries and a really good iced Americano. The perfect afternoon pick me up.
Such a great spot for coffee, pastries and brunch food! I had an iced vanilla lavender latte along with a strawberry danish.
Very understaffed. 30 mins in line? Apr, 15 - they went down. Again
The blended espresso drinks are unique and fantastic. The chocolate peanut butter one is surprisingly not sweet. Their coffee is tasty, and things like the creme brulée cappuccino aren't too sweet. Muffins are good, but the croissants are kind of average.
We got the following: Classic bowl, what came first, and granola cup. The granola yoghurt tasted weird, (it didn’t have Greek yoghurt, (as noted in the menu). The scrambled eggs had a very eggy taste and no other flavors. Couldn’t smell any coffee aroma, so we gave coffee a miss. Sorry to say, we were disappointed.
The coffee shop is a high dollar experience that can not even provide a paper receipt. They installed this new point of sale system that ask for email or phone number to identify you but they can’t even provide a paper receipt. You cannot purchase your coffee with anonymity and get a receipt. This has been explained to management but they feel you don’t deserve privacy

Believe the reviews, this place is amazing. The coffee is so much better than any other coffee shop. The food is outrageously good, especially the breakfast sandwich!
I was just killing time before my flight and decided to try this neat little cafe off Main Street to have a coffee and a bite for breakfast. The iced coffee was very good. I also liked they did have sugar free syrup options available. The jalapeño cheese bagel was also delicious and the cheese very crispy with some nice heat from the jalapeño. Definitely would love to have another one! Unfortunately….the imperial breakfast was the reason why I had to knock a star. Simply, it took an extremely long time. My wife had finished her meal and it was approaching nearly 20-30 mins and it was not really busy when I ordered. Unfortunately, the hash browns still arrived undercooked somehow and were not crispy at all and not a very pleasant component to eat. That was the only negative, just the time and the undercooked hash browns. Simply put if I was in the area again, I’d certainly stop by again and have no issues recommending blue butterfly!
Great coffee (vanilla latte) and bagel! $5-6 coffee, $8-10 bagels. Will be back next time we're in the area.
I was giving blood nearby and my son was with me since we had an appointment after. I wanted to get my son breakfast while he waited for me. He ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a hot chocolate. He enjoyed both. I had a plain croissant. It was flaky and delicious. Not sure but I think they buy their pastries. I know they carry Sidecar Doughnuts. It doesn't matter the items we got were very good. It's a little pricey but I'm happy with what I got. I didn't try the coffee but it must be good there was a steady line of people ready to order.
Everything I’ve had here is good. I often come for a mocha, but both food and drinks are good here.

Wow! This place is awesome! The staff is great and the food is delicious. Everything is freshly made. Their coffee was also delicious. They actually roast their own coffee. I can’t wait to go back. It’s a very nice cafe, great staff, and killer homemade pastries and quiche. Stop in, and don’t be intimidated by the line, if it’s a weekend. It’s worth the small wait.
Staff ignores you when you walk in they pretend they don't see you even when there's no customers in line. Very disappointed at the kind of employees they have being we leave in El Segundo most of the other places have excellent service.
One of the guys who works there is the WORST at making the drinks. I get a lavender matcha with oat milk and no ice but ice on the side because I don’t like that much ice. EVERYTIME the one guy makes my drink he leaves like 4 inches of room at the top of the cup so I’m basically not getting ANY of the drink and I’m paying over $7. It’s not acceptable. He made my drink today even though I asked for the other guys to make it and I asked HIM for more oat milk because he left 4 inches of room and he looked annoyed. He also BARELY added any lavender syrup. He rushes the drinks and screws up.
I was only for a cup off caffe but I like the place very much.
My experience with this cafe was pleasant. I ordered only matcha latte, took it and left. Took one star away bc beverage was barely warm… The atmosphere itself was nice. Lots of people who work on their laptops
A cute, busy little coffee shop that also has an amazing selection of tea. Definitely stopping in again when in the area.
El Segundo is full of small gems and Blue Butterfly Coffee is no exception. This small but quaint coffee shop located on Main St. Is a nice place to escape the hustle and bustle of those overcrowded and often overpriced Java spots. They have a fairly decent menu and staff is friendly. It's the not set of Central Perk but it gives you the home feeling of El Segundo. Support local Business👍🏽
