I met a new friend there. The drinks were good. The service was friendly and quick. The bathroom was clean.
This is a cute little coffee place that's been in Chico since 1996. They do have some breakfast items, but I prefer the quiche and fruit. Or a bagel sandwhich is really good. The atmosphere inside is really nice! The ceiling is painted like a beautiful blue sky and it feels like and open inside with all the windows. The weekends are busy of course but there are a lot of little tables and outside seating with a cute water feature. It's one of my favorite places to meet with friends for coffee and breakfast. You can also bring your dog which is great because they have a big patio area to relax in when it's nice outside.
The service was great every one was very polite but the price for the drinks and cookies is pretty steep for what was, in my opinion, not great food or drink. The atmosphere was cozy, and that's a plus. I'd be willing to give the cookies another shot if I could get them fresher, but overall all u found my experience lacking.

A lovely cafe atmosphere with friendly staff, amazing coffee (lots of options) and delicious pastries to choose from! I had an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and a blueberry muffin, it was EVERYTHING! You could easily spend the morning here, we will definitely be back! We love The Perk a latte! 🫶🏻☕️🥐 Real talk- sometimes the line can be longer than ideal, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy your experience at busier times. Totally worth the wait!

Husband and I thought we'd try Bidwell Perk out and was not impressed. He had a quiche and I had the ham n cheese croissant. His was all egg barely any ham or peppers and mine was crunchy with a lil slice of ham n the cheese melted out the ends. Will not buy those items again, maybe the bagels tho. Nice atmosphere tho.
My new favorite place to grab breakfast. Food was delicious, coffee was way better than Starbucks. Chill environment. Staff working there are very polite. My order was ready in less than 5 minutes.
Staff was nice but ungodly slow. Three ladies working and only one person in front of us and it still took over 10 minutes to get a latte. Not sure I'll be back...
Love this place! A wonderful place to sit with friends and enjoy a cup of your favorite brew with a tasty pastry. Always best coffee and service with a smile! Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating.
Great coffee and friendly staff
This is a good place to go as long as you're not in a rush and don't mind waiting 10-20 minutes for a coffee and a pastry (this is the average wait even if there is no one in line in front of you). Staff have never been rude but have also never been very friendly. I can imagine they are stressed as I only ever see 2 people that are responsible for taking the orders, filling all food orders and making all drinks. They have a lot of tin roof pastry items so that's a big plus. Their quiches are pretty good and their espresso beans are great.
Always a great environment and the daily quiche was fantastic!
The coffee is good, but it's not that hard to bring the customer what they ordered. It's kind of frustrating to get to work and be stuck with something you didn't want. On my second time going here I checked the bag before leaving, low and behold they gave me the wrong item again!

The hot chocolate is so good even with a substitute milk. I highly recommend.
Nice staff, and selection of drinks. They let you stay as long as you want and have free Wi-Fi. It is very loud with conversation
