Today was our second visit to this place and we really enjoyed it 😊the atmosphere and the food are very good and the drinks are terrific! I also bought some wonderful dark chocolate and some beautiful cards by a local author. I think this place has a great vibe and it’s our style. Unfortunately we don’t live here but we do come over twice a year and we will tell people about it. 💛

I have been going to Baba for years and it is always splendid. It gets crowded with a lot of regulars, but generally everyone is considerate, no loud phone/Zoom conversations. There is always somewhere to sit. And they play great music. In fact, they actually have live music on the weekend, which is really cool.

BaBa coffee in Carlsbad is a must-visit for coffee and pastry lovers. The coffee is simply awesome and brewed to perfection, providing a satisfying taste with every sip. The pastries are equally delicious, made with the finest ingredients, and sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. If you’re The Village of Carlsbad be sure to stop by BaBa Coffee for a delicious cup of coffee and a delicious pastry. I highly recommended!!!

LOVE the vibe! Great coffee. They even have blankets to use if it’s chilly while you’re working.

We happened to accidentally walk in after hours/at closing on a company meeting, Seeing people inside we didn’t look at the hours. The staff was nice enough to still make us some hot tea and they were incredibly nice all around. If you happen to be in the area I’d highly recommend stopping in!

Cute place / great outdoor vibe / way overpriced for a cup of coffee. $7 for a large coffee? I just moved here from Coronado, so I know a tourist town can have coffee shops with a $2 cup of coffee (Clayton’s is as touristy as it gets and they carry a local San Diego coffee company brew). Even $3 or $3.99 for a plain drip coffee would be understandable. But $7 plus tip? Insane. I will keep looking for a local shop with a good cup and not overcharging for a simple cup. Also, would like to add my own cream to the cup — why are small coffee shops in town not allowing creamer on counter ?

I found this Cafe at 6:30 in the morning, with hopes of finding a place to get some hot tea. This is such a cozy place with a great variety of food items and drinks. As well, they have a nice selection of loose leaf teas, wine, beer, baked goods and gift items. I discovered blankets folded over chairs, for customers to use, because keep the front door open to welcome customers. The service was great too. I'm definitely going back when I visit Carlsbad again!

4 stars because of how expensive the drinks are, but they taste amazing. The jazz nights on Fridays have become a staple point for my wife and I’s week!

I love this little coffee shop! I happened to be looking for a place to wait traffic out with a friend where we could grab a snack and charge a laptop. This place is so much better than your average coffee shop.... don't even say the S word... they have indoor and outdoor seating, outlets for charging, happy hour with actual wine and beer, and the best gluten free bread ice ever had! I'm not a big coffee drinker but was prepared to order an iced latte or something when I noticed the happy hour sign. Wine seemed like a my better choice, so I ordered avo toast on gf bread and a bottle of white. It was delicious, just thinly sliced avocado, salt and pepper, but on the best gf bread ever and the avo was perfectly ripe. The sauv blanc I ordered was clean, vibrantly citrusy, and refreshing. Staff was friendly and acommodating, and another patron landed us an iPhone charger too! Everything was clean and appeared to be well maintained. I'll be back! BTW, ,I just called back to ask about that gf bread and they get it from Johann's bakery in Vista, family run.

Place is cute, food is good, drinks were mediocre at best. Chai was more cheese than tea (picture attached). Undrinkable. Guy working the counter could use some basic instructions.
