Food was good, but the attitude of the people who work there ruined our good first impression. We regretted ordering there. We were asked if we wanted to stay or order to go. We said "to stay". But when we got our order, all noticed that there was nowhere to sit to eat. 3 tables outside were occupied and all tables inside had "reserved" signs. We asked if we could sit somewhere and they told us that there are benches outside on the street. When I asked if we could quickly use a "reserved" table, the woman behind the counter had a fit and rolled her eyes. We ate there standing next to one of there shopping stands. The mood was ruined.
Used to come to this place all the time, but this recent experience was horrible. The coffee was horrible and watered down tasted like it was a day old. The lady behind the counter just toasted our pastry order on the counter at us. It was just a very bad experience. We definitely won’t be coming here ever again. Plenty of other great places in the Village than this one.
The woman at the register had a bad attitude. My latte tasted like straight milk, and the Masala tea we got was so bitter. We ended up throwing our drinks away. This place is popular but I don't understand why. Starbucks is better than this place. And I don't usually go to Starbucks
I have never had hot Cidar this good before. Something about the way they make it; it’s just so delicious. I went for just tea and ended up getting both. It’s worth every sip. This place is very cozy too. Family friendly and a great spot to come during the cold nights to warm up. They have awesome gifts or home accessories for purchase too.
Great drinks but the service is extremely slow. Does not matter if you’re in the middle of line or in the back. It will take you at least 30 mins to get to the front and order. They either need more workers or faster workers. Not the place to go when you need a quick pick me up. It will take 30 to 60 mins for a drink
Comfortable cafe and delicious coffee. I ordered Americano with extra shot, and it is good. It is light to medium rost coffee beans used, I guess. And small cake piece along with it. Good enough for my good morning!
Not very welcoming to tourists, and the drinks are mediocre at best.... It seems as though if your not a local they could care less about you
Ordered a caramel latte with oat milk and a chai with oat milk . The two drinks tasted like the girl with glasses and AirPods on didn’t clean the milk pitcher so it tasted like apple juice and it took time for her to acknowledges, us, even though she wasn’t doing anything, since the person on reg was going slow in taking orders. She finally came over and I told her if she can remake them and she said that it was the oat milk . I told her no because I also drink the same oat milk brand. She did remake it but with soy :( my drink was missing the caramel :( and the chai tasted like it was watery :( I ended up throwing it away :( . I’m from out of town but I visit often and this is the place I always come to, but as of now I’ll be going to another coffee shop.
Extremely friendly and the hot chocolate tastes very good.
Had no decent food options when we asked.. Took forever to get one apple cider... Which was from the bottle too ..
After waiting in a long line to order, we reached an employee who took forever to get our order. “Can we have a small latte? (He tilts head and narrows eyes) No you can’t.” It turns out he was joking, but after the fourth time of the same joke it was just an irritating waste of our time. Then the long line to pick up our order: about 10-15 minutes. Finally, the awaited drinks! But alas, they were quite bad. The Americano was just over-extracted and bitter. The latte was watery. Bottom line: Don’t waste your time and money, avoid!
Great attitude from the one barista closing it down! I didn’t notice the menu mentions that monin syrups are vegan, but he brought them over so I can look at the ingredients anyway! Speaking of, lots of vegan pastry options unfortunately almost all were sold out but it was Friday night so not surprised. Many syrup options! Not overpriced. As a former barista who closed alone through busy rushes I would suggest taking a few orders just to get through the line a bit, make the drinks hand ‘em out and repeat, rather than taking and making one drink at a time. Wish their card reader device had an option to add tip. For sweet tooth people - s’mores hot chocolate with hazelnut was delicious!
Great coffee, and patisserie. Friendly casual service, and fun staff.
Quad espresso and a flat white. No food but the quiche, pies, breakfast sandwiches and burrito looked amazing! We will be back! Super busy
Dave was the friendliest, best barista with only the best of everything coffee 😁 Excellent place, fast and friendly service, good coffee, astoundingly good pistachio cupcakes!
I only had a tea but so good. My friends had coffees and no complaints across the board. I worked from here for a few hours and it was wonderful. Not to loud and great people watching counters to work from
Very nice little shop. Everything I had was good. I wish there was more indoor seating. The "shop" doesn't seem to really fit except that it gives you something to look at while you wait. At least on the weekend, they could use 2 people making drinks. Definitely the best coffee in the area. Even with the wait, I still choose it.
great coffee. i went there multiple times last weekend and everything i got was great. they were a little under staffed but your on vacation and what is it to wait another 15 minutes or so.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS COFFEE, LATTE, BREAKFAST BURRITO AND BAGELS YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. There is a bit of a wait as mentioned in other reviews I’ve seen but damn this place is so good, your patience will be rewarded. We went knowing it had a reputation of taking some time so we were ok with it, if you’re someone just popping I can see how some might be annoyed with it. I had a jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, breakfast burrito, pistachio up cake (for later) and regular coffee. wife had blueberry bagel with vegan cream cheese and she’s raving about how amazing the vegan cream cheese was and a vegan maple walnut cupcake . I thought they were going to just toss a burrito in the microwave but there is a stove setup away from the cafe bar where I saw them make it all fresh. Worth the wait but just know there is a wait
We showed up before close. David had a nice friendly attitude, helping us get just what we needed. He was complimentive and even checked in the back for what looked like was out of stock. He went above and beyond making our experience there joyful. I know during closing time customers can feel like a burden but he did not make us feel that way. Welcoming and accommodating staff was a delight to our experience. Much better than the masked ladies of last year full of attitude and rudeness to my wife's physical condition.
