Fantastic food, great service, excellent prices, can't say enough good things about Roy's. Wish we were closer, we live in Texas, or we would go every day! We will definitely go anytime we're in the area.

This place has virtually nothing to do with Roy's in Amboy. But They try to serve good food

We were traveling through Barstow and stopped here for lunch because Roy's has a legacy. The service was excellent, the menu was huge and diverse. We both got burgers which were great and made like I would at home. You can have a variety of sides with your burger. The coffee was good and made fresh for me. I would definitely eat here again cause there is a lot more to try on the menu.

Just the sort of American Diner I was looking for. It was everything I expected. I didn't order a milkshake, but they looked amazing.

They make one of the best tasting burgers I have EVER had. And I am told that the prices are about average for the times. And the portions are great. People are very nice and friendly. The location is great, very central. With plenty of parking as well as seating. And it is clean.

We visited Roy's yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food they served. I ordered a specialized omelet with hash browns. I couldn't eat it all, and it came with 2 regular sized pancakes! There's was only one waitress and she was great. Kept up with everyone and never lost her smile. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because they used oil butter on thier toast instead of real butter. The toast was terrible.

The food was excellent and so was the service. Somewhat pricey so be ready to spend money. Also bring cash they charge a 3.5 percent when using a card.

Great food and service. I was stomak sick and asked for dry toast, tea and oatmeal. It was delicious and soothing. Little run down but I'd go back in a heartbeat.

We stopped for breakfast on our way to Vegas and they did not disappoint! They've got a wide selection and it's made well. If we are ever back in the area we'd consider going back here again. We got the breakfast burrito and a mushroom avocado omelete!

Stopped here for gas on my way out of California. The customer service was amazing, really really nice folks. The food smelled amazing too and tasted great! Probably the coolest place you can stop.

When I got here it was around 815am. There was only one other table in the place. The service was very friendly and quick. I ordered one of there specials , “the breakfast sandwich” on sourdough and a coffee. The sandwich comes with your choice of meat and I chose sausage. It also comes with lettuce and tomato which was interesting but pretty good. Now the place is pretty old and the restroom needs to be remodeled a bit. You can buy Route 66 memorabilia and Roy’s cafe hats, shirts, and mugs located in the front of the store. All in all it wasn’t a bad experience and a nice place to sit and have coffee.
