Staff was rude and 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee.

Great fresh bread, but pricey. Good location and pleasant for breakfast or lunch, indoors or out.

I think they were short staffed, because it was a full hour (happened to have an alarm for an important phone call, so it was more like and hour and five minutes) from the time we ordered to when our food arrived, and we had to clean our own table. The pastries we got while waiting were hard and probably would have been good warmed up. BUT- the food when it did arrive was very good. We got four different breakfasts and everyone enjoyed them.

Fabulous food and pastries! Truly one of the best restaurants in Santa Barbara County! We drive 48 miles just to eat at Bob’s We’ll Bread.

It was a really beautiful place, but the staff, in particular one person was really, really unfriendly. I will not recommend this place to friends. I had high hopes.

Bread and pastries were tasty, but the service from Bob the owner was some of the rudest I’ve ever experienced. He was so grumpy and not willing to answer any questions about what was inside the pastries. My friend got yelled at for not seeing the sign that asks everyone to stand behind a very small area while waiting to order. Would not go back to be treated like this again, there are plenty of other places to buy nice bread!

The man working the register (who I can only assume to be Bob) is slightly unpleasant and pretty forceful about gratuity on a carry out order. If you can get past that and really enjoy quiches, then it’s worth a visit. The broccoli cheddar quiche was great. On the other hand, mushroom and spinach pastry filling was a bit skimpy. Still good though

Was excited to go to Bob’s today, only to be confronted by the rudest person I have ever encountered in customer service. He was so rude I actually thought it had to be a joke, but alas after reading other reviews it turns out he is simply a very miserable man that sells good bread.

Wonderful as always, and no matter where he is... <sigh> can't he open a shop in Santa Barbara? Don't tell anyone how good he and his staff are.

What a cute place but awful service. I found Bob (the owner) to be anything BUT friendly. As an owner what sort of standard do you set for your staff? Maybe you just woke on the wrong side of bed but I am in no rush to come back. Also to ask (bully) for gratuity on a take away order? For what? Obnoxious. ✌🏻out Bobster.

Ordered a ham & cheese croissant, with some orange juice. The croissant seemed a bit on the overcooked/towards burnt side, with no semblance of ham or cheese inside to speak of. The to-go cup of orange juice was smaller, and under filled, which was really disappointing when considering the price paid for it. Overall, a disappointing experience unfortunately.

The coffee was cold and watery (I ordered a double espresso americano) and the guy at the counter wouldn’t reheat my pain et chocolat so it wasn’t good either, overall I usually go out for breakfast for the experience and of course the food, unfortunately this café didn’t delivered any of it. The inflexibility from the counter guy ruins the coziness of the place. PS: not pet friendly

I NEVER write reviews but this had to to be said. Place is super cozy and awesome but the guy at the counter is by far the rudest person I have encountered in a hospitality place in my life. I bet he is the owner otherwise he would be long gone. If he is the owner and has partners he should do the establishment a service and stay on the back. Never coming back again and the experience is not worth this guys attitude or energy.
