Showed up to have coffee and a bite with a friend to the place completely closed during the day (12pm). Waste of a 45 min drive to just have to double back to a different place. Very disappointed. Peaked through the store front window to everything disarrayed in the cafe and no workers. If the store is closed; then the store needs to fix the Google listing so people do not waste their time perusing a business who isn’t even open.
Their chai tea latte with oat milk is 🔥🔥🔥
I really enjoyed my breakfast there. Wait time was minimal despite the rush, and my omelet was fantastic! I'll definitely return. The seating was very comfortable as well.
We were just looking for a good cup of coffee on our journey and we found it here. Friendly staff. Quick service. Clean and surprisingly large dining area with a couple of tables outside too. Delicious!
Great service. OMG, the avocado toast. There's something in tje chai latte that just soothes and relaxes me I'm hooked. So delicious.
Stopped for a mid morning booster. Latte and scone. The atmosphere is industrial yet inviting and comfortable. Big tables are great to spread out on. Not like most cramped restaurants. The espresso was perfect and the scones were fresh and delicious.
This place is a jewel of Argenta. The breakfast, fruit bowl and coffee were delicious and the city scenery is amazing. Youll need to get your meal from the chef when he calls, bus your own table, use ketchup packets, and its 3.25 for a can of diet coke. Jada and the Chef bring a real professional / home vibe. What an amazing warm morning.
Unfortunately the place has changed under new ownership. It's biggest issue are the menu prices which have been jacked up for no better food than before. Much more limited menu items too. No loyalty program. Service was average to ok. Many less customers compared to what used to be a thriving cafe. Even so they close at 4pm everyday! I can't see this place staying open till the end of the year unless they take a hard look at their changes. I miss the old Mugs..
This place may be right for you but it isn't my cup of coffee. It is too loud to make a great place to work, the coffee isn't great and you have to specifically ask for cream and sugar. I don't know if they give free refills or not because I didn't like the coffee and didn't want any more. The staff was nice enough. I wanted to like this place because I prefer to give my business to local shops, but I just didn't like it.
This is the best chai tea ever!!! The spices in it are alive and kicking! I’ll never have a chai from any where else to refrain from disappointing my taste buds. You gotta get you some!
Fix your times i drove down here and you were closed it says 8pm on google
Always a nice experience here. It's chic and everything I've tasted is amazing.
Cozy place, delicious soft and smooth tasty muffin. Amazing americano, friendly service, , but no croissant unfortunately. Will come back until I get it...
Great place good food and coffee friendly and efficient service
Almost this time last year I came to vacation here. Found this shop and loved it. Glad I was able to be in the area for work and come back for another wonderful experience.
Friendly staff, Great coffee and breakfast. Fresh delicious breakfast made when you order it, nice options from the coffee bar. If you like pastries….. their scones are really good.
New owners basically got rid of all the good staff, this place is dead now. Go to blackberry market, it's just as close and it's not a mess with no kitchen or workers
Nice place, kitchen was closed due to staffing issues. The tables need a deep cleaning.
I have eaten at mugs for several years and almost never had a bad experience with them. I honestly prefer this location, over the one in the heights. But lately the service has been on a rapid decline. I've noticed that most of the seasoned staff are now gone or on the brink of leaving, the place is filthy, and the coffee was just not good. I heard that Leiva's has taken over and I just can't believe that they would dump this place down the drain like that. I hope Mugs will stick around for the rest of 2023, but at this rate its up in the air.
Sad to say that this coffee joint has seen a huge drop in service. My original 5-star review from SIX years ago is below. Having been a consistent customer over that time, i can tell you that in the last year... This location has dropped the ball regarding service... It's slower and the staff seems unhappy to be there at all... Hours change randomly.... The kitchen closes long before it should... They seem to have lost a lot of kitchen staff (rumors are that they're not paid a living wage and so they walked out)... The coffee and food is still pretty good but the attitude of much of the staff seems to be one of OVERT annoyance towards customers. It's worth noting that it seems like there's a new BOH manager that's helping... But only time will tell... I hope they figure it out and return to previous greatness... But my gut says that they'll be gone before 2023 is... Fantastic joint for coffee and food. Breakfast stuff is amazing. Try the cafe con miel and breakfast burrito.
