I have been here before and was not satisfied, but after coming back to try it again I have to say the food is refreshing, the atmosphere is friendly-ish. I came here with my wife and son (toddler) we were treated well. I’d visit again.
The Dirty Martini salad is hands down the BEST salad I have ever had. I have traveled a lot and lived in Dallas for 20 years, so I have been to my share of top-notch restaurants. The ingredients are fresh, and the menu is changed monthly according to the season. Almost everything on their menu is gluten-free, which is perfect for me. I am so excited to find your cafe. I live an hour away but will be making regular trips to Hot Springs to visit you. I wish you had a location in Little Rock, but you're worth the drive. I highly recommend Cafe 1217 to anyone who enjoys healthy, gluten-free dining. The service was excellent as well.
The possum pie was great! I would say this is not an ideal place if you’re trying to do some work - they don’t have Wi-Fi or much for options for coffee.
Very very disappointing!! $15 for a reuben sandwich that honestly tasted like it came from Arby's. There wasn't even enough meat to cover all the bread.
Very well crafted salads that will fill you up. Even the small ones and I'm not one to feel full easily. Great service. Good lighting. Quiet with a great vibe. Well definitely return if given the chance.
Great healthy options with some tantalizing down home options as well. The girls behind the counter were so super friendly and helpful.

If you love fresh, delicious and healthy home made foods- this place has it all. Check out their menu online as it changes monthly for the seasons which I really love and appreciate. The atmosphere is a cozy, fun, diner style where you order at the counter where you can see all kinds of sides and entrees to choose from- or you can order off the chalk board menu on the wall. I got the salad sampler where you can choose from three to four sides in the counter case (Top shelf only) and then it also comes with a small salad. If you are a fan of chicken salad I was really impressed with it, great flavor. Know any salad fanatics? this place has soooo many creative ones that are sure to impress. Parking can be a little tricky as they are always busy but there’s a lot of room on the side of the building. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for some good, seasonal, homemade dishes that you can even see before you order.
Everything is amazing but getting a lower star because of the prices of their dishes.
What a gem! Some of the best food I’ve had anywhere. Fresh, quality ingredients and colorful, delightful combinations will turn your tastebuds on end. Come hungry and prepare to struggle making a choice. So many yummy selections! The desserts are all made fresh. I had Key Lime Pie and the Key West Shrimp Salad - perfection!

My husband and I stopped in for lunch while on vacation. They have a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, soup, their dessert case looked amazing. The atmosphere is pleasant. I would say it was one of our best meals in Hot Springs.
Nice cafe. Order at the counter and serve yourself kinda place. Ginger juice is a must try!

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The establishment is clean, well-lit, and centrally located. The atmosphere is positive and inviting. The food was surprisingly delicious and the service was extremely fast. This place is awesome!! No wonder one of the staff members has worked here since the year 2000. Parking was a little tight but manageable. They had a variety of items on the menu and fresh food made daily. I most definitely recommend Cafe 1217 to anybody that lives in or is visiting the Hot Springs area.
The lovely one and I stopped here on a recommendation of a friend. The food was delicious, in decent proportions, and the staff was delightful. I had the muffaletta. While it was slightly on the smaller side, with the orzo salad it was pleasantly filling. The sweet potato fries added a nice compliment. The lovely one had the California club. It was good if slightly challenging to consume as presented. The sweet tea was on par with most, while the minted lemonade was like a refreshing hint of summer. We finished our meal by sharing a slice of key lime pie. Rich, thick, and absolutely the best taste to finish off our meal. We plan to return to try other items from the menu when we visit Hot Springs again. An added plus was the employees. They were all welcoming, willing to answer questions, and went above and beyond to make sure orders were satisfactory.
Great food and service! We've had several business luncheons here and this is our go-to!

Friendly staff, lots of variety. Fresh and delicious salads and sandwiches PLUS already prepare entrees and desserts which we had to grab for our dinner! Couldn’t be happier!!
