Finally got a chance to visit a real Onyx after trying it in Seattle as part of a coffee club. The coffee at the cafe is superb. I'm glad they sell 2x bags of beans, too. I found it "unique" that every employee asked me how I was doing though. It was just a little bit much for me, as an introvert.
Quintessential Bentonville coffee shop. Great coffee, service, and atmosphere. In the heart of historic Bentonville. Great place to stop before, after, and/or in the middle of your ride.
Friendly staff and patrons. It's busy pretty often, but people are usually patient and they get drinks out quickly. The interior is fairly small with limited seating, however there is outdoor seating available, some of it being covered. There are places to leave leashed pets outside the doors so you can go in and order. Restrooms and wifi (password on wall by door) available.
This is my favorite coffee shop! Their drinks and baked goods are always amazing, and staff is always super friendly! Also super cute and cozy inside, with nice out door seating as well!
Their coffee is the star of the show. Really excellent from espressos to lattes. Food is very good,service is come and get it. Seating is a bit tight, limited and not very inviting to relax
Very friendly and helpful staff. The line moves quickly. The clientele was also friendly, striking conversation while waiting for orders. The coffees were unique and tasty, but the vanilla lavender latte was too sweet (reminiscent of Starbucks). All those factors make the $7 lattes splurge worthy, but not an everyday go-to.
I came here because multiple people recommended the place to me when they heard I was going to Bentonville. Best cappuccino I’ve had. Came back the next day and tried the single origin our over which was good but definitely not the best I’ve had and it was $9. Great service and chill atmosphere. If I ever get back, I’ll be testing the different espresso drinks.

As an event and media person at a leading coffee shop in Santa Fe, NM, I'm always on the lookout for delicious coffee, great customer service and amazing merch! Onyx does not disappoint on any of this! I would go back for the respectful and friendly service even if the coffee was terrible. From start to finish, a perfect experience.
Coffee is perfected here! Do not miss out!!!! The Hail Fellow Well Met! Was satiny, smooth, creamy, with a hint of saltiness to the last sip! I was licking my cup to get every bit!
Onyx coffee lab is the bomb! The coffee is always made well and very fresh! I’d say my second favorite coffee shop in town (confident 1st but it’s close )
$7 for a cup of coffee that appeared quite sophisticated in paper but not that uniquely distinctive in flavor
I can't say this was the best coffee or baked goods I've ever had, but it was good. If you like watching people, this is an especially good place because there are a LOT of people who come here. (It is a "name" kinda place, so it's touristy.)
Awesome experience! Got a lavender latte once and a salt mocha once. Both were excellent! Vibes are on point as well!
Amazing roastery and cool industrial coffee house with creative coffee and tea drinks and delicious pastries. The Gluten Free chocolate muffin paired perfectly with the hot FOMO. Try the Onyx Delight or Chia Latte (make it dirty) ... you won't be disappointed.
Best Mocha I ever had. The touch of black salt takes it to another level. Everything about this coffee lab was top notch.
Things here were good, but did not meet my expectations. They could not make me a flat white and insisted on calling it a double cappuccino, and it ended up just all wrong (very weak and too much milk). The breakfast sandwich was okay, but it tasted microwaved, which ruins the texture. The quiche was fine but not flavorful. The beans I got were good but not $30/lb good but I'll update when I dial them in a bit more. Maybe they're better at these trendy flavored drinks.
Even on a busy Sunday morning - this place was ran like a well oiled machine. The wait was minimal and everything tasted great. Get there early if you want any of the croissants but don’t sleep on the cream cheese and caramelized onions. It was amazing!! So savory and crispy. We got two iced lattes - Carmel and the Hail Fellow Well Met! Both were made perfectly - just the right amount of sweet. We will definitely be making this a regular spot during farmers market season.
Great service, very quick breakfast for a busy coffee shop. Coffee and iced tea good, but we really liked the breakfast options most of all! Kids loved the muffins, blueberry lemon and gluten free chocolate (so rich but so so good) Avocado toast perfection for me- great toast that stands up to the avo, toppings and the perfect tangy dressing. Hubby got the breakfast sandwich -compact and the perfect fuel for the days ride.
Onyx, the true pride and treasure of NWA! Don’t let the big box, light blue brand know. If you are a coffee person in the slightest, then you must stop here. They are nationally ranked, and internationally known for their incredible roasts. They have it all - from your classic pour overs, to your delicious dessert types. This location has an incredible vibe, can fill up quick, and is worth the wait!
