Decent breakfast place. It was a little expensive but the food was good. Note: Breakfast prices everywhere are going up.
We went to your restaurant on Friday May 12 at about 10:30. No one waiting and hostess had just seated 6 people. She informed us there was a 15 to 20 minute wait for a table. We glanced around the restaurant and saw " several" empty tables and boothes. When I asked her about all the empty tables if they were reserved, she curtly told me " we have a waiting list"! Again there was no one waiting, she just seated 6 and there were lots of empty tables and boothes. Needless to say we will not return to Broken Yoke as there are other restaurant in Yuma where customer service is better than we received at your establishment!!
If you're ready to eat alot of delicious food come here! Be advised, quantities are very generous so be ready!
Food is so good and service is excellent! Love this place.
Delicious!!! Bianca was so friendly and helpful! The mimosa flight is a great deal and happy hour is Monday to Friday 12-2pm!!
The restaurant was clean and their staff was amazing. Our server was attentive, friendly and charismatic. She was just a delight, the food was amazing obviously. I ordered their Mom Omlette and the veggies were perfectly sauteed.
I got just myself to BY at 9:30 am, location was at 40% of its capacity and they put me in 15 minutes waiting list, I ask the front desk lady if it was some kind of policy or procedure since another people had the same problem, and she just said that they had a birthday, after that time they asign me the nearest table that was empty since I arrive, food very good as always and the waiter Emiliano save the day with he’s kind and fast service
I finally tried this place and it was great! The food was excellent. My husband and I decided to go eat brunch again since we really enjoyed it the first time. When we walked in and I immediately saw there were small booths available but the hostess lead us to a huge U-shaped booth, she sat us in one of those the last time we were there, it was awkward but we didn’t complain. This time though, there was a big family with several toddlers. It being just me and my husband wanting an enjoyable brunch, we thought it best to sit somewhere else. The hostess then said how about the table top which was on the other side of the family and would’ve been basically the same. I asked if they had anything on the other side of the restaurant where the small booths are at, she said no, then she said how about this table and it was the table right behind the big family. I asked her again if there were any booths available on the other side and she said no, what she offered was the only thing that was available. That was untrue, there were at least 4 open booths on the other side where the small booths are located. So we said thanks and left. I asked my son about this who was a server in the past. He said there’s a monopoly when it comes to servers assigned tables. But he said that ultimately if the customer wanted to sit elsewhere and there were tables available, he would absolutely accommodate the customer. I don’t know if this is the reason the hostess didn’t budge on accommodating us but I will say it left a bad vibe about this restaurant. It appears as if this newer restaurant already succumbed to the Yuma spell of poor customer service.
I came to this place November 2021, and after a greasy Monte Cristo sandwich I swore I would never come back to The Broken Yolk Cafe. Fast forward to 2023 and a dear friend had mentioned coming to breakfast here and mentioned it was delicious. I was apprehensive because of the previous experience but I’ve been to therapy and have a clear understanding of growth, evolving and becoming a better version of yourself. I decided to give the Broken Yolk Cafe a second chance, perhaps the cook had been replaced and there was now someone with more taste in charge of the kitchen. Maybe the time I went in 2021 the cooks were having a bad day. We never know right? Well I was accompanied by my friend and my lover. My boo ordered the Chilaquiles Bowl because that’s their thing, and I went with the stuffed French toast, my friend ordered the pancakes. Let me start, this place gets 2 mf stars. The chilaquiles bowl is offensive, looks like they straight dumped nacho chips into a bowl and poured that chunky Tostitos salsa they sell at Walmart on top, finishing with some carne asada. Some of the chips didn’t even get salsa, I felt like I ordered a nacho bowl rather than chilaquiles. The loaded French toast, broken yolk, you’re trying way too hard. It’s diabetes on a plate, the first few bites were ok, but then I started to get disgusted by how glutinous the dish is. Mascarpone cheese, caramel, whipped cream, and powdered sugar have no business together. The pancakes…… well they were pancakes what can I say? The hash browns? Potatoes. EH if you want to come brunch with your girls come on in, but you won’t find real breakfast in this place.
Was ok but not a A-ok. I ordered a Monte Cristo. Was not traditional. More like a grilled ham and cheese with bread dipped in French toast batter. Guess I'm old school.
The food is always great here. My partner and I like to share one of their HUGE skillets and then get something sweeter and almost always have some leftovers between us. So come hungry! Sometimes there is a wait because this place is so goody, but the hosting staff is incredibly efficient and friendly. The music and decor give too much of a corporate vibe for my taste, but that's my only complaint.
My first time in here and the service was awesome, didn't have to ask for refill on coffee.
Food has declined a bit but is still good. I think my server was newer, messed up order several times. Overall will still return.
First time my friend and ate there. Food was great. She ordered chicken and waffles, I ordered the Rancheria skillet. Every was so good!
Moms omelet was delicious with lots of veggies and low calorie too. Service cannot be beat.
Huge portions, great taste! Wait time was a bit long.. but totally worth it!
I have a problem when I order eggs with my meal. Each time the eggs have been cold. Could I suggest heating up the plates to keep the eggs warm while getting to me and maybe other customers? Thank you.
We ordered biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were dryer than popcorn fart, the gravy was pasty white something or another with the sausage hidden in the gravy. Hash rows were cold..really disappointed 😞
Cute place, great tasting burger but the plate was dirty. Had previous diners egg stains on it and obvious dark smudge on it. Sent it back and was assured the burger would be made again and placed on a clean plate but I don't think it was since the new burger came out five minutes later.
One of my favorite things is biscuits and gravy but I won't order them here again! The seasoning was off-putting and the gravy seemed floury. Everything else was good 👍
