Overall, I thought the food and everything was really good. It was super busy. So it took like 10 minutes to get to the counter to get food to order. Once I ordered the food it took about another 40-45 minutes to get it. I think that was my only complaint was just the length of wait there was. I know the employees were working as hard as they could. It was just a little bit uncomfortable since it was really hot. I wish they had like a fan or more seating for those who are waiting there was just a lot of people just standing there, waiting for their food and drinks. But the bowls were really good. They did definitely did make up for everything. I ordered ham, cheese, egg, potato bowl, minus the like tamale and everything else in it. I would recommend this restaurant, but just realized there might be a long wait time.

Cute little walk-up coffee shop and restaurant. The breakfast burritos are superb, I’d highly recommend trying them out. The coffee is also delicious- I had an iced mocha. Additionally, the service is swift, and the employees seem excited and happy about the work that they do! Thanks for a great start to my day.

Barista del Barrio is always a 5 star experience. You wait in line to place your order and then sit in their multiple options for outdoor seating. It’s quaint with relaxing and breezy setting. The food is absolutely delicious, they have breakfast burritos, bowls, and tamales. They have special lattes, we ordered an Horchesso, a dulce de leche, and a mazapán latte. They are sweet, but you can ask for it to be less sweet and have alternative milk options. I love this place, I visit every time that I’m in town.

Awesome burritos and breakfast bowls. And unique and delicious coffees, horchata and lattes. Get there early as a line starts forming about 15 minutes before they open - worth the wait!

Order a latte with double shots of esspreo. Kinda on the weak side for me. The latte needed more sugar

Barely heard about this place yesterday so I tried it today. Was good. A few of the potatoes in my burrito weren't cooked through so the way, but other than that it was delicious. Ran into an old friend during the visit so that was fun.

Love everything about this family owned spot! They take pride in their biz and it shows! Worth the wait, worth the price, worth it all :) love that they have vegan options…everything we had was delicious! Just wish we had a spot like this back home!

Their coffee and food are delicious. The aromas as you wait for your food are so good, you may go crazy. They have very laid back seating at either side of the main building. Once of the seating areas has a chair swing. The ONLY thing is that everyone else knows this place is amazing, so expect to wait. They have cookies up front; nice snacks to have while you wait. Soyrizo was really good and oat milk is available for lattes.

Had been craving a good homestyle burrito after some fails since moving Tucson, this hit all the marks. Soft, slightly crispy flour tortillas. The fillings are simple/ traditional with potatoes, eggs, beans, cheese and optional meat (get it with everything). Patito (el pato)-style blended salsa is spicy and compliments the burrito perfectly. Barrio style cold brew tasting of cafe de la olla (traditional Mexican cinnamon-infused coffee), with something like a nestle evaporated/condensed milk over ice. Recommend a long hike followed by these burritos! Looking forward to coming back.

This gem really can claim the “best burrito” title. The lines are usually long but worth the wait. I did try the “bowl” option on one visit in a moment of healthy optimism but learn from my mistake….wrapped burrito every time.

Now if your looking for the best coffee and horchata hot or cold. This is the place! They also have some good Barrio Berryade for you non coffee drinkers. We ordered a burrito and a breakfast bowl. Yummy with the salsa, and the burrito came with 2. I am sold! ( ; don’t be fooled by the line it’s totally worth it. The relaxed ambiance here is just wonderful! I highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed

It's a neighborhood place, and is best appreciated as such. Not really equipped to handle the business it currently gets, waits are extraordinarily long, and food isn't better than average (think Nico's... maybe just go to Nico's). If I lived within walking distance it'd be a 4, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way. If you do, get here as early as possible and expect to not actually eat for the better part of an hour. Staff is friendly and it's honestly got a nice community feel. If you're in the area on a nice day, not immediately hungry, and have an hour or so to kill, their patio is actually a nice place to take in the day.

Great food/drinks, very friendly staff. They have a decent amount of seating on both sides of the building. Keep in mind that they can get busy from 10AM-Close, and parking is limited.

This place is a total dive, but the food is excellent. Staff are wonderful and it is just a cool place to go and get really good food. They have great meat and vegan options. Simple menu, quality food and service. Definitely a place to go if you want really good food in a casual atmosphere!

A long line but absolutely worth it and moved faster than expected! Tried the chorizo breakfast burrito, which was delicious and the salsa on the side was flavorful and just the right level of spice. Would absolutely come back!

Great burritos. The tortillas were awesome. And they divide the burrito into two. So you get two burritos. I got the chorizo, egg, and potato. The salsa was the perfect topping. It was spicy, which I loved. Only downside was we waited an hour from standing in line to getting our food. So get there early to beat the crowd.

Love local coffee shops. Got the popular horcheso latte and it was delicious. If you ask for a drink in your own cup they will gladly do so but the portions will be off if the ounces are differ from what they offer. Appreciate that they had vegetarian options and vegan too! Did not like that the potatoes were not fully cooked. We will be back again for coffee !!!
