Went for breakfast this morning. The service was extremely slow, from them taking our order to actually being served (people who ordered after us got their meals before us, with the same food being ordered). When it came to the food, here’s the açaí bowl. Tell me how this is not 1 star. Literally insane we spent money on this. We also ordered the lox and bagel. 15 minutes after ordering she told us they were out of bagels, so she offered us a few different alternatives, which was definitely great. However, when I chose an English muffin she said she would give us 2 since they were smaller than their bagels. And you know how many we got when we opened it up (we got it to go). You guessed it, fam. One. Usually I can let this stuff go. But then I look at this photo of the açaí bowl… literally lol

Management is a joke. Tried to host an event there. Went in twice, call a few times and email. Was told Raven was to busy to respond. She was sitting upstairs both times I came in. She could have at least returned a call or email

Oh my goodness, Raven Cafe is a gem! After doing a seven mile hike around the Goldwater Lake region last Monday, we were famished. Drove further into Prescott than I have ever been before and RC is located in a cute little shopping area (ample parking on the street). You walk in & menus are right there, seat yourself, peruse the menu, then order at the counter. We had just placed our appetizer order when the lights went out (apparently that happens when it's very windy outside). Not knowing if they were going to shut the place down, we debated on staying put or leaving - so glad we stayed. The guy who took our order brought out a small plate of hummus for us to eat while we waited and luckily the lights came back on in under 10 minutes. We placed the rest of our order and dug into our hummus plate. It was dee-lish & was devoured quickly. Then our meals came. Holy Moses it was a lot of food. The burger was humongous, the lemon chicken pita was buried under goodies, sweet potato fries were scrumptious, and although the Thai chicken tacos burned my sister's mouth & lips she still ate them (too good not to!). They had a chocolate bread pudding that sounded really good but we passed on ordering that and now I'm kicking myself. The iced chai I ordered was honestly one of the best I have had in my life. Creamy goodness in a glass. Raven is larger than it looks on the outside. Bathrooms are way back in a long hallway, they have bands there apparently, and they are a green restaurant which is fantastic. Compostable straws and take-home containers. It was a bit pricier than what I was expecting a cafe to be, but well worth the money. Friendly staff, too.

From the second you walk in- the customer service, the ambiance, friendly staff, the food...all of it is incredible. You can just go in and study, hear someone playing piano, join in on a trivia night, they even have movie nights. It's also one of the few places downtown where adults can bring the kids in and still get a quality glass of wine or craft beer while taking a break from all of the fun down at the square.

Sunshine bowl did not come with plantains. Flavor combinations definitely was off, salmon was not fresh. Overall mediocre food, needs huge improvements. Drip Coffee not fresh and cold.

The Raven should really be renamed “Sherwood Forest.” Why? Well, on our most recent visit to Prescott we went here three times, generously tipping in the cash tipping jar at the counter, before we realized (much later) that our credit card was being charged an “automatic” 18% tip without our being aware of it. So we were basically tipping over 30% every time we patronized The Raven. And I should note that there was no obvious indication that an “automatic” tip was being charged – no signs at the counter and no advisement from the staff when they saw us putting cash in the tip jar AFTER they had just processed our “automatic” tip. Even the final printed receipt (if you opt to receive one!) DOES NOT INDICATE IN THE TOTAL THAT A TIP WAS CHARGED – instead it lists a total without tip at the bottom, and a tip amount separately, so that it is very unclear what has occurred. After being robbed three times, we did notice on our subsequent visit that there were some small icons and an even smaller text notice on the POS screen that advised customers of what is happening to them – but we never saw those initially. In fact, we didn’t discover what Robin Hood was up to until we saw our credit card bill a few weeks later. A pretty skeevy and unethical practice, don’t you think? We certainly did. Now, some people might tip 30+% for really good service, atmosphere, and food. So is that what Sherwood Forest offers its customers…? On all of our visits (we actually have been to The Raven many times over the years…the tipping issue seems a relatively recent change), the staff has generally been disinterested and distracted when taking orders, often because they are scrambling to get to-go coffees out to folks at the same time. There has never been a lot of smiling or engagement with us or any other customers that we have seen. Staff also tend to offer a blank stare or a dismissive shrug if you ask about food ingredients or sensitivity questions – they generally do not bother to f

I want to love this place but I cant eat somewhere that will undercook poultry and poison me. I had gotten the lemon chicken pita which is loaded with a bunch of stuff and it was movie night, so it was dark but I'm realizing the dark spot on the chicken I saw wasnt just from the lighting or something on the pita, but it was a raw spot on the chicken and now I'm sitting here throwing up and sick after being nauseous since Wednesday morning (went on tuesday night around 7)

Stopped in for some coffee and breakfast this past weekend as I was exploring Prescott. As with the other businesses along Cortez and downtown Prescott, the building has some great history and it is an awesome space. I was there about 9AM and the place was hopping! I decided on the breakfast sandwich which was so good! A vast menu options for both vegans and non vegans alike. The space has current artwork on the walls for sale, a great piece hanging from the ceiling, hardwood floors and just another great vibe in the town. They are also a bar and have live music. The staff, management and service were fantastic and prices very reasonable.

Have never had a bad experience at the Raven. Always great food - breakfast, lunch and dinner, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. Out of all the times I've been there, this last visit was the first time I ventured to the upstairs patio. It was a tad chilly but dining during the sun setting was worth it.

I’ve been going to Raven Cafe and their nearby bookstore for many years. I stopped in recently and ordered a coffee and vegetarian tacos - with tip, my total was over $30… when used to bring a guest with me, the bill was usually $100 if we sat down to dine-in. The tacos I ordered had about $3 worth of ingredients and looked hastily thrown together: tiny tortillas with some cauliflower on top, pickled onions, and some green salsa: $15?? The next day, I drove down the road to another independent coffee shop and had coffee+breakfast for $15…. Yet at Raven, coffee and meal was double that price. They’ve got a good atmosphere, but everything is just weird at Raven Cafe. They’re charging sit-down prices as if you’ve got a personal waiter coming to your table - you do not. You have to go and order at the bar and there’s usually a line. I’m fine with the prices if you’re going to send a server to my table to check in on me, but don’t charge sit-down prices at a cafeteria-style venue. While I really enjoy their coffee, I’ve just come to expect that I’m going to spend double at Raven Cafe compared to other cafes in town.
