High quality coffee, cool space, plenty of parking, and really nice shaded patio. Easy access to charging outlets inside, although the internet can be slow.
The best coffee and vegan pastries in town! Great matcha or vanilla latte. The everything seasoning scone is soooo good.
I love this place! Fresh and wonderful! It’s always amazing to me when I can have all the menu items! I had a rose latte and a chocolate Skull Baby. Heaven!
Didn’t get a chance to try the coffee here, but I wanted to rave on their cakes! I heard a rumor they crafted all vegan cakes and after inquiring, I was emailed a ‘cake book’ with the most amazing and interesting looking cakes. Decided on the red velvet decorated with sugar glass and what a show stopper! not only did it look extraordinary, the cake tasted splendid as well and was easily the best birthday cake we had this past, celebratory weekend. Dark Hall had great communication, easy pick up and they made the whole process stress free. Thank you so much!
this place was a whole dang vibe. came here to knock out some work and take a few meetings. had an americano with oat milk and it was perf. all of the treats in the display looked soooo good, and I was super envious of the woman next to me enjoying a slice of cake at 8am. the patio was also super cute and shaded, but the bathroom was absolutely beautiful.
Dark Hall Coffee in Phoenix is a magical spot that's got everything you need for a perfect brew-tastic time. Their vegan treats are wickedly good and the coffee is out of this world! You won't find a negative vibe here - it's all good witchy energy. If you're ever in Phoenix, swing by Dark Hall Coffee and let their brews cast a spell on you! 🧙🏻♀️ ✨
The atmosphere was honestly the best part of our visit! Such chill vibes, and the coffee was good too! I got an iced chai with oatmilk, cinnamon powder, and brown sugar, and my friend got a cortado. Super delicious!!
Excellent espresso, delicious vegan pastries and friendly baristas. Love sitting on the patio with my dog at this gem of a neighborhood coffee shop!
While I absolutely love this venue, I am tired of seeing the ownership/management overwork and underpay their employees while also leaving them perpetually understaffed. I recently waited over 30 minutes for an Americano, and had there been more than 2 workers available with a line out the door, this would have been avoided. I see a high volume of business being done every time I come in (weekly), so I can only assume money is being made. When greed rules decision making, profits become valued over people, and eventually, the quality of the brand will erode away. I encourage Dark Hall ownership/management to have some pride in their business: invest in those that make it special so it continues to thrive.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. The blackberry jasmine iced tea was to die for! Great spot to work from.
the most helpful staff ever. came in today for the first time and got a delicious valentine drink and when i realized i lost something there, the staff was very helpful to me. thank you!
Came to Dark Hall for the first time after hearing about it for months. I love the ambience of this café. It’s got an almost gothic romance vibe but is the perfect place to work for a couple hours. I ordered a Chai with oat milk which was just the right amount of sweet. I also got a gluten free oatmeal cookie. The cream in the cookie amazing and I loved that it was dairy free! Will definitely be back soon.
Get the scones! I went on two separate occasions and they had different scones each time, one was a black pepper thyme and the other time was a lemon rose. Sooo good that you wouldn't expect it to be vegan. The employees were so friendly and the coffee was good, but I go for the scones. Nice spot to bring a laptop and do with.
More recent update: Hey darkhall. This really isnt about filling a void for anything becuase the void is far to large for one business to deal with. This is more about coffee. It would be an ok pastry shop if there was coffee. I thought you had really good coffee, fruity, rich, full bodied, but now you sever hot coffee. So yeah, they pastries arnt as good as before you moved, but the real issue is the lack of coffee. Coffee is in the name of the business. Just call it darkhall bakery or offer pour overs. I’m begging you, please give me a reason to dive all the way over there. Update: This place is no longer very good. They still have scones but the number of things with lots of sugar have increased. There is no more coffee. Only espresso drinks and you gotta pay 4.25 for an americano. Previous review: Best pastries around. Coffee is good. My favorite place to go in Phoenix.
Very cool little cafe with a cool aesthetic. I tried out "Greed," one of their seasonal spooky drinks, and a walnut fig galette. I really enjoyed that everything was vegan as well, I wouldn't have known if the person with me hadn't told me. I don't drink caffeine and they did their best to accommodate me.
Dark hall has amazing themed lattes, pastry’s/baked goods, and beautiful patio.
Latte with oat milk is top tier! They’ve got a great place on 12th St. Also, love the location smack dab in the middle of Coronado. Would recommend :)
There are so few places in Phoenix that do it like dark hall!! From customer service to the bakery itself, no one could be disappointed with their results. I ordered a cake for my sister’s birthday, and the butter cream frosting deserves celebration on its own!! Thank you so much for your perfected recipes and detailed decorations!!
Love this place! The New location is amazing. Lots of cozy seating in the front and back with plenty of trees for shade. Coffee is delicious. The cakes and cookies are amazing. The coffee is very good. You will enjoy whatever you order.
I came for coffee and left with coffee and five pastries. Everything was fantastic but the shortbread cookie and olive oil cake were out of this world!
