After I endeavored on a long and desperate search for vegan food and a late morning pick-me-up at the Phoenix airport, Cartel saved me. Fantastic, filling, and unique take on a vegan breakfast burrito, and incredible pour over coffee. So worth it!

Presentation and espresso craft was top notch. I got the espresso by itself. It is a double shot, but it appeared to be less espresso than most double shots. Personally I prefer this type of shorter shot but would have loved to have more after I was done 😋 The coffee beans used for their espresso is their Blend 48 which is a blend of coffees from Huila Colombia. Tasting notes were milk chocolate and berries. The espresso was very smooth & bright and easy to drink with no bitterness. Definitely recommend to those who like straight espresso!

Best coffee at Sky Harbor! They have unsweetened matcha lattes also, which are hard to find. The staff is always friendly. It makes me happy when I have a flight out of the C gates :)

The best coffee shop in any airport ever. (Prove me wrong) Cartel is a specialty roaster, and I was very impressed with the main operation downtown. It looks like the same people and equipment here. Located next to gate C13. I routed my flight through Phoenix instead of salt lake/Vegas/LA, just so I could stop here.

This place is garbage. Everything says this place opens at 4:30. Waited for about 15 minutes and then asked the guy what time he opens to confirm. He said 5:00 with an attitude. Myself along with 3 ladies were waiting and all were bummed and brought to his attention that the online information says 4:30. He got an even bigger attitude, repeated himself that they open at 5, and then stormed off to the back like a baby. It was quite comical how much of a child this guy acted like. Anyways, they might have good coffee, but I’ll never know because I’m not giving them any business.

I ordered hot mocha. The woman worker (didn’t get her name) said sure! But then realized the espresso machine was off. She offered to make a mocha with coffee instead. Reluctantly, I said yes why not. Coffee is a bit too strong for me but I was exhausted so figured what harm could it do? She said it was on the house. Sweet of her. Long delays of layover flight and this was the highlight of my day. The drink wasn’t bad after all!

I was briefly here for a connecting flight and stopped in for a little pick-me-up. I inquired about the relative sweetness of their espresso drinks and the guy behind the counter was very helpful, even showing me how much syrup they put into their mochas (I don't like super sweet beverages like Starbucks). It turned out to be perfect in terms of sweetness and the espresso tasted good as well. I'm very pleased with this place and will definitely look for the next time I'm in the area!

I almost always stop here on my way out of Phoenix after hustling to the airport before dawn, buy a coffee, get a burrito (potato poblano is pretty good), they will use all 10 minutes it takes to make them so get over it. There isn't usually a long line, so you can get pretty fast service in comparison to Starbucks as well.
