They have delicious coffee and a variety of other drink choices. Very Quant & just like relaxing at home inside. They also have a variety of food and dessert. Also not sure where they find the staff, but everyone of them are very friendly and helpful.
Stopped in on the way to Prescott. Cute shop, plant vendor out front and local artists work inside for sale. Great Playlist too
UPDATE: Coffee quality has gone downhill since new ownership. The food is also awful and seems microwaved. Great coffee! You can actually taste the coffee in their blended drinks - you can tell they use very high quality expresso. The owner is always nice. Also, their paninis are good (pretty filling - I usually eat half).
Stopped in for a sandwich and coffee on Saturday. Best sandwich I have had since moving here in April. The toppings were so fresh and the bread was so flavorful and perfectly toasted. The artichoke hearts with the fresh mozzarella was a perfect combo with the deli meat. I had a sugar free hazelnut cold brew and that was the perfect amount of sweetness. I bought the cutest little cactus and air plant for my office too! The barista and owner treat you like you have been friends for years and really make you feel welcome. I can’t wait to go back again.
I had been on a quest to find a flavorful cup of coffee. I drink mine black, so the coffee itself needs to stand out - not the flavored creams and syrups in so many of the popular concoctions. I tried the "house drip" and found it a bit weak and a bit cold but tolerable. Ashley came over to my seat and asked me how the coffee was and I gave her an honest answer. She insisted on making me a pour over more to my liking. She has since "tuned" the proportions of coffee and water to what I believe is perfect and has even replaced the house brew pot with a smaller one to keep the contents hotter. No need to continue my quest. I have found my perfect coffee.
I love this coffee shop. She makes the best Americano, I can't think of a better one in the greater Prescott area. And her mocha has a richer chocolate flavor. I wish she had a patio for summertime, but there's nowhere she can put tables.
Finally went in to Modern Coffee yesterday! SO GLAD I did. I meant Alex an Ashley---had the best conversations and completely made my day/birthday/and moment in time. Visit Modern, sit, relax, bring a friend, and enjoy the VIBE!!
I went there for a class/party and only had iced tea, but it was very good. The owner was very nice. The place was clean and cute. She had some gift type merch for sale too. I look forward to going back.
We just moved to Dewey and found this absolute GEM of a coffee shop/bakery!!! We got 4 different coffees, a chorizo burrito bowl, two different breakfast sandwiches, and some coffee cake and when I tell you that it was all amazing 👏 you need to go here! The staff is friendly, quick and patient! The design inside is beautiful, I can totally see this as being a great work spot and they have free wifi. Love this place, will for sure be back...Oh and they have a drive through!!!
Great place to come and relax. Great coffee "house" vibe, with trinkets and a cool furniture. The coffee is better than the atmosphere! It really is unbelievable! The staff is all great! There is even a drive-thru!
I have nothing but good things to say! The food was absolutely amazing, I am not a breakfast person, but after my first bite, I was shocked with how delicious it was. I got the bacon egg and cheese bagel, my associate got the chorizo bowl and another associate got the turkey pesto sandwich. Everything was amazing and filled with flavor. I will definitely be back, the lotus drink was also amazing! I love all of the inside decorations and support for other local businesses.
Was told from a friend that this place was good. Visited this lovely cafe. Awesome experience. Very friendly staff. Got to test out the new build your own sandwhich option. Got a cold brew coffee. The sandwhich was top notch and delicious and fresh! Coffee was a great blend with the mix ins I had. Also got to try a Nutella brownie and it was the best brownie I’ve had! Definitely will not be the last time coming here. Many more to come!
The food was terrible. my beagle was like rubber. The Quince was so small for the price . Will never be back .
Haven't even had a chance to step in to Modern Coffee & Deli and I'm already a fan! Huge thanks to Ashley for the quick reply and help in getting my gift to family in Dewey, all while I was back home in the Valley. Talk about the perfect gift selection, and the handwritten card was an extra bonus. Thank you for a memorable experience & I look forward to finally visiting when I make it up north. 💌

First time going here and wow it’s great . I really wanted some quiche a little disappointed you were out . I got a breakfast bagel instead and is the best breakfast bagel I’ve ever had glad I got it. The mocha ice coffee is excellent also
MC&D is a welcoming and warm place with amazing coffee (local coffee!!) and great handmade gifts to support local talent. The team are not there to sell you anything but offer you a friendly suggestion and it’s so refreshing to meet a business who cares. Willing to accommodate my dietary needs and gave me something which wasn’t even on the menu! But let’s not mess around. I went there for the coffee, I loved it so much I bought another one to go!!!
Smell amazing, friendly service, and perfect coffee. I tried the iced mocha with coconut flavor. Heavenly! I hope to come again. A must visit coffee spot!
