Great food cool atmosphere
If you wanna go back in time, this place will take you
I got hungry waiting for the tunnel to open up, and decided to give this place a try. It was a cold and rainy day when I stopped in and the bison burger was exactly what I needed! The service was great too, and I got to chat with some of the locals about living in Whittier. The next time that I am in this area I will be back!
Such a comforting and home-y environment! The food is terrific and fresh! Will definitely come back! 😋❤️
All food is simple yet fresh and tasty. Add an aroma coffee and the rest of the day will be good👍
We had 2 wonderfully made meals at the Wild Catch Cafe! Our first was halibut fish and chips that blew our minds! Perfect fresh fish, light crispy batter and golden chips, yum. The next day we had a fabulous breakfast with fresh high-end coffee drinks!! We were lucky to meet the owner Hi, who was courteous, professional and a fantastic host.
Excellent Service, perfect halibut fish and chips.
Running to take cover from the rain and found this wonderful spot. Friendly great service and the best Halibut fish and chips we have had in Alaska!
Excellent Halibut & Crinkle fries simply delicious, crispy batter outside and moist & flaky inside. I will be visiting this place soon. Please don’t change anything! Thanks, Tamie
The breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Super friendly staff. Love the seating area in the back. We also loved their coffee. Nice strong medium/dark roast and goes perfectly with a cold rainy morning.
Really enjoyed our halibut and chips - so good! but... at $32 per plate Ouch! hence 3 stars! a little overpriced - wait ! a lot overpriced. Portions of food was fair. 3 small pieces of haibut. Order in front and if you want inside dining its in the back. They also offer amazing coffee. Service was friendly. Would I go again - nope.
Ordered a medium well done burger, with light salt...just right. Thank you!
Cute little place with coffee, drinks and sandwiches. The service was extremely slow but overall good place and the food was good. The staff was nice. They have an outside seating area too. The chocolate chip cookies are absolutely amazing.
Fantastic place to stop for a delicious food:) very cute hut and diner inside 😋. Lots of food options
Cute little spot, friendly staff and excellent food
Stopped by for lunch after doing a morning tour in Whittier. Luckily, it wasn't a time when one of the big boats arrived, so there wasn't any wait at all. Was able to walk right up, place my order, and grab an open table on the patio. Service was very prompt and friendly. Ordered a few Alaskan beers, Salmon Filet Burger, and Halibut Fish & Chips. Food was brought out to my table within 10-15 minutes and looked amazing. The Salmon was a nice cut of meat that was grilled to perfection. The Halibut had a nice crispy batter that added crunch, but didn't take away from the taste of the Halibut. The patio tables gave a nice view of the surrounding mountains and water. Perfect place to grab a bite and enjoy the sights and sounds of Whittier.
I just love their salmon burger. Their staff is full of really nice people. I also appreciate the fact that they are hiring seasonal workers from other countries as well.
A quick grab while we waited for our train. Very tasty muffin at a good price. Very accommodating for our limited time frame.
Great little Cafe! The BEST coffee around!! Ate breakfast here, and very much enjoyed the food & atmosphere, and the staff is very nice as well. Awesome place to stop!
Eating at the wild catch Cafe was a great experience in such a small and beautiful town in Alaska called Whittier. Getting off the the ferry at the Whittier ferry terminal and having a beautiful sandwich with a great and light salad was enough to keep me satisfied until I made it to the airport by way of the train from the train depot just across the street from the cruise terminal. Whittier is a very small town with one building most of its occupants live in it is a beautiful Town surrounded by Mountains full of tiny waterfalls lush green trees and wilderness and the air was fresh and the temperature was not too cold actually warm for its location.
