Little but really nice, cozy local cafe, with great drinks and foods (pastries). There may be not many parking spots so walk-in would be great.

Standard cafe with limited options for dietary restrictions. Would not call them friendly.

I called a week in advance to have a Berry Pie made for a co-workers birthday and the gal said they are not taking special orders because they are short staffed! Two years in a row!!! Just tell me you are out of the pie business that would be easier to swallow. I try to shop local every chance I get but this is the kind of local service we get, I'll be going elsewhere.

Nice atmosphere, great service, delicious food. Eclectic hole in the wall cafe with limited breakfast food options. Highly recommend coming here!

Great coffee, as well as a cool local business. My family and I also had a tremendous conversation with the owner. I have nothing but good things to say about this place.

Backdoor has a great vibe and even better coffee and snacks. It is a great place to take a break from exploring the town of Sitka or to read a few pages from a book you just bought at the adjoining bookstore Old Harbor Books. Lots of local people hang here so you know it is a good place.

This small cute coffee shop is in the back of the bookstore. It's pretty busy, but the coffee is made fairly quickly. Prices are actually lower than the other coffee places in the area. There is a seating area, seats about 25, but it's pretty dark, not exactly conducive to a relaxing atmosphere, but it's not bad, just there's no view. There are two entrances, back entrance has a restroom. The girls tending to this place are very nice, acknowledge you right away and quick. The coffee was tasty, apparently it's raven brews, the competing one from Heritage, and the place smells like freshly baked cookies.

During our recent trip, I ordered a Mocha from Backdoor Cafe, and it did not disappoint. This was absolutely the best mocha I've had in my life! My husband got a drip coffee which he said was very good as well.

Nice place with interesting bakery items. I just don't like Heritage coffee, it's very sour.
