This was a surprise. We had no idea this was a restaurant. It said mermaid store on the sign. There is a sweet collection of merchandise for sale.
A very chill atmosphere! I ordered a coffee which did not meet my expectations and they begged to take it off my bill and make me something different. With that, they recommended the white coffee which was something new to me. It did not disappoint! The staff made sure to keep us satisfied customers. We felt very welcomed and valued ❤️
Their coffee ☕️ is wonderful. Staff is above and beyond and LOTS of mermaid things. Cheers 🧜♀️ 🧜♂️ Views of the bay
Great hospitality and food, one of the few places open mid-April
Stopped in for breakfast before our wildlife boat tour out of Seward. While tasty, I think the portions were a little small for the price. They also do not have a liquor license so serve their breakfast cocktails with wine. The Bloody Mary with wine was not our favorite. But the view from the top of the restaurant is beautiful and the service was quick!
The food was great! I unknowingly ordered the Bloody Mary, and all their cocktails are made with wine, it was a totally different taste, but still good! The service was a bit chaotic, probably knocking the rust off after the off season. The food was excellent!
We love Seward and now we have a new place to add to our list of favorites while we are there visiting on our day trips down from the valley. We got to enjoy their opening day and everything was amazing. The food and cocktails were to die for and the service was friendly and went above all of our expectations. This will definitely be a stop for us each time we come to Seward!
Cute gift shop, warm and delicious latte, and great atmosphere!
Great ambiance, great food! Huge fan of the beluga coffee drink and the blueberry brie jalapeño burger
Great food and cafe (impressive tea collection)! We went back many times.
The waitress was really good, the food ok but not anything special. The price was waaaaay too high!
This cafe was my regular coffee stop for this past summer. The coffee is good and I enjoyed that they often had vegan pastries. The atmosphere is super chill and fits right in with Seward.
We stumbled onto this place. The atmosphere is so cool and they have an excellent gift shop with great prices. The coffee house is so charming as my wife says. We ordered the MerBabe breakfast burrito, took one bite and ordered a second it was so delicious. Coffee was spot on and service was great. Would go back! Bathrooms were spotless.
Stopped in for lunch on advice from a local. The rice bowl is great and so was the fish sandwich. Very cool atmosphere and great view .
Best meal experience we had in Alaska- the food, the people, and the atmosphere. Our Miso Black Cod was cooked to perfection- tender, flaky, and shiny smooth. Perfect rice, sauce and sautéed vegetables accompanied it. The plating was also lovely. Everything was well seasoned and and portions were generous. Staff is super pleasant helping to choose a perfect sake, wine, and beer for our table. Desserts were delicious and made of a high quality chocolate, creamy ice cream, and shareable. The room is fun! Casual Alaskan style yet could be celebratory at the same time. Love the gift shop and decor - unexpected treasures with mermaids, sage sticks, essential oils, jewelry and much more. We want to go back for coffee in the morning. Thank you!
Very tasty tomato soup, pleasant atmosphere, polite, friendly staff. Thank you!
Had a very nice time having lunch here. You can tell the place has high levels of cleanliness. The food was delightful 😊
Fish witch burger is a must try, very juicy and delicious. But Overall menu are a too pricey. Ex. $30 for a rice bowl…
Cute boutique and some healthy options for breakfast at the café. Go check out the fun mermaid decor upstairs.
Stopped by for a quick breakfast while waiting for a party coming in on the morning train from Anchorage. It's literally right next door to the train station, so was very convenient. When you walk inside, there's café seating downstairs where you order your drinks at the register and grab a table. There's also full-service dining upstairs if you're ordering a meal. I had a few hours, so went upstairs for full service. On the way up, look at the drink menu downstairs as those will be your options. Ordered the Alaska Smoked Toast and Mer-Babe for breakfast, then actually came back for lunch after the train arrived. Lunch menu had few different items, so ordered the Moose Bomb Musabi and Halibut Sandwich. The breakfast items were good, I liked how light the Alaska Smoked Toast was. I really enjoyed the lunch menu items, especially the Moose Bomb Musabi. It was a nice twist on a classic Spam Musubi. The Halibut sandwich was also very good as it was a very thick cut of fish topped with an Aioli sauce in between a Brioche Bun. Overall, service was prompt and friendly. Both breakfast and lunch items were good with a slight preference for the lunch. Conveniently located as soon as you drive into Seward or right next to the train station.
