Just like an old diner. Reminded me of home. The only thing that was missing was the smell of cigarettes and an ashtray. But I suppose that's a good thing.
Food was good, staff was nice. Setup a little lacking but we were there for breakfast not an interior design convention. Would recommend!

Walked in during lunch hour hoping to get a hot meal from a local restaurant. There was a sign that said "Please wait to be seated, we are understaffed so please be patient." No problem, I worked in restaurants for years, and after 2.5 years of built-in pandemic excuses I am already inherently patient by necessity. The man sitting behind the counter was talking to someone I assumed to be another customer. Not ringing her up, just talking to her. They both stopped talking, looked up at me, then without acknowledging me in any way went back to their detailed conversation about someone's bladder cancer treatment. After standing there for about 5 minutes with no acknowledgement of my existence, I turned and walked out. Pathetic. Do better, or get in another line of work.

Outstanding food and service. I had a scramble like I never had before. Servers were very freindly even though it was obvious that we were from out of town. Best Breakfast that we had in all of Alaska.
I’ll start with the positive. My husband and I love to get breakfast from her often if we can. The chicken fried steak is delicious and they have some of the best burgers we’ve come across in town. Downside. Getting a to go order is not an easy or pleasant experience. There’s a 75% chance they won’t answer the phone on the weekend. When they do it’s usually a waitress and those ladies work hard and are always running around when we go there. I’ve seen it every time. What gets me is the bigger gentlemen who works there. I think he’s an owner. He sits behind the counter and only rings out tickets. He doesn’t seat anyone, doesn’t answer the phone, doesn’t clean up tables, along with a lack of control of the front door and organizing who’s paying, who’s picking up, and who’s waiting to be seated. So when you go in for your pick up order, the front door is usually chaotic and your left to figure out who’s waiting to pay, be seated or picking up. Earlier this summer we were there in person for lunch and a customer had a medical emergency and an ambulance was called. This gentleman who works there was apparently off shift and sitting along a back wall by the kitchen and I didn’t see him once get up to check on this situation or customer. It’s just sad to see the waitresses who work there bust their butt running that place only to have lazy management sit idly by shuffling tickets behind a counter and not doing anything else.
I totally enjoyed my breakfast dining experience today. The servers were VERY attentive, the food was tasty and hot, and I appreciated the ambience: very country but clean and locale-appropriate. There is a military air base adjacent; fittingly, the cafe presented nine large, beautiful RC military aircraft that hung high over the red checkered tables. As far as I am concerned this is way more than an eatery, it is a destination.
Pleasant service. Nice model flight planes, jets, choppers etc. Food was as expected home style and fine.
Nice local Cafe. Burger was really good. Staff was very attentive. We'd go back.
Fantastic food with great service! Enjoyed the fresh brewed ice tea with the tender and tasty chicken fried steak. The heavy was tasty and the right thickness. Highly recommend!!
