I love Northern Tea House, the owner will save my cardamom scones and makes delicious tea. Northern Tea Alley on the other hand, still delicious tea. But they're always closed outside of their posted hours. :( The facebook is never updated so I can check ahead of time at least, and if it is, there's never a reason, just says closed. I'm not really owed a reason though, so that's probably not applicable. It's just being closed all the time. Countless times I have gone down there to get a drink during the posted hours, and it says closed. It makes me sad. If they start updating their facebook on time with their open/closed status, I'd be open to changing this review.
I used to frequent the northern tea alley quite often, then COVID hit. I went today with my boyfriend and it was fine but I was given a pasta straw. While I am all about trying to reduce single use plastics, I broke my straw within a minute of leaving. I'm now desperately trying to get my boba out from the bottom of my cup. I barely drank any of my drink which I found quite annoying. If you don't have a metal straw, it's really not worth it. I happened to forget mine today and I'm definitely disappointed.
I was super excited to find a bobaccino shop downtown. Ordered an avocado and a cantaloupe for me and my partner. The avocado tasted like straight green tea powder(which was caked up at the bottom) and no avocado flavor whatsoever, and the other was straight syrup. Maybe they need a proper mixing machine because the lady shook them once or twice before handing them over. Either way I don't reccomend this business at all. Really feel like I wasted 14 dollars.

The strawberry and cream tea was awesome. I’ve never had anything like it. I was expecting a slight strawberry flavor but it was very bold and not overwhelming.

Smelled so good and the free sample of tea had me craving more! Staff was friendly and the decor cool. Definitely coming back next time we are in Juneau!

Go here for a great loose black tea made into boba - so excellent. I had earl grey. They had flavored boba the kids loved too. So many teas here.
