Delicious House Chai Tea!
I stopped by the drive here through here and had a really positive experience! The young man working the window was kind and lovely to talk to. I got the Alaska chai with oat milk and a redbull soda and both were delicious.
The coffee was great and their baked goods were also great.

FANTASTIC. Best Espresso and Best Specialty drink I have had... Ever??? The espresso was so smooth and nutty it was almost chocolaty. I had it in the Bee Sting specialty latte, Iced w/ coconut milk. Perfectly spicy and I could taste the honey. I highly recommend. Great service. Byoc discount. 11/10

This place is great! We came here for our Daughter’s 17th Birthday breakfast trip. The inside dining area was closed at the time, but we didn’t mind so we went through the drive through. There were a lot of vehicles in line as was expected for the 4th of July weekend and tourists. We didn’t mind the wait at all. Such an adorable shop! It has curbside appeal all the way to the roof! 😅We thoroughly enjoyed every inch of it. The nautical theme fits right in with the seaside town. Their menu is wonderful…everything from coffee ☕️ and pastries 🥮 to delicious breakfast burritos 🌯! When my family ordered there was only one gal manning the station and even though she clearly had many customers waiting she maintained her smile and excellent demeanor. She asked us what we wanted and we asked for 3x lattes, 3x different pastries, and 3x breakfast burritos. She said it would take her a few mins to make us some fresh burritos but we didn’t mind waiting. The lattes were made wonderfully with an even taste of sweetness and espresso! The pastries were decent sized! The burritos were huge and filled! They don’t cheat you on size or quality of their food items, which is so nice. Every time we visit Homer, we will definitely be returning here for our coffee or morning snacks. Thank you Portside Coffee & Co! 💙
Not impressed. The cafe sitting area is closed and only drive through is opened. We waited in line for 35 minutes before it was our turn and only 5 cars were in front of us. There was only one employee in the store who was responsible for drinks and pastries. There was a menu posted in the window but only had two food items on the menu with limited flavors. There was a sign about how they sterilized all cash with bleach, but the gentleman serving us handled our food with bare hands, no gloves and no sanitizer before or after. My coffee spilled on me because the cup was too full and the lid was not secured. The muffins ordered were not very good either. Disappointed.
Tried calling to order in advance but no luck on the ### posted outside. Waited in line for over 30 minutes. Many customers just got angry & sped off. There was 5 vehicles behind me when I finally reached the window. I expected some sort of "issue" but no. Just 1 girl serving coffee. Coffee was good but couldn't believe the time it took.
Only drivethru currently open. Basic but good breakfast burrito, salsa adds flavor but no spice. Breve was good, nice and strong! Chai had a unique licorice flavor to it that I’m not use to but good.
They need to update hours of operation. They were closed on a Tuesday at 11:25 am.

Best coffee in Homer! They have a deck with beautiful sun exposure! Best cold brew in Alaska. The baristas pull good shots. They also have Alaskan chaga. This is the best coffee shop I’ve been to this side of Anchorage. #supportlocal #yummycoffee

I’ve lived in Homer 13 years and this is my favorite coffee nook. They consistently have great service and friendly staff. I’ve never had any negative experiences here in contrast to a few of the other local shops (examples: hesitating to give back change and hovering over the tip jar, inconsistent with beverages depending on employees, waiting a ridiculously long time, even when business is slow). I don’t mean to be soo negative about other shops but there is a lot to be said for quality service and products at Portside!
