Love this little market. It has many items you can’t find elsewhere in town (like smoked salmon!). And lots of tasty baked goods and wraps to take away. Important in the off season, as there are very few restaurants open-I like pizza but not every night.
Very tasty sandwiches. The place to go for organic food and homeopathic remedies! Locally crafted candles, salves, and foods here as well! Sit down and have a warm cup of coffee.
It's good stuff, but so expensive. Way more than equivalent products elsewhere in town.
We spent many days on and off coming to this Cafe. It's a place where there's a small market with good (by good I mean quality) products and there's a coffee place where you can as well eat a sandwich, a pie, a soup or any deserts type. The people working there are very kind, lovely and nice. The place is big enough. There are plugs, but no wifi unfortunately for bagpackers like us. The food is really good, not too sweet for the pastries and stuff. So perfect. And the pies and soup are very original. The prices are "normal" for Alaska, the coffee a bit cheaper than other places. Just one bad thing is : plastic is everywhere. They don't ask if you stay or go, in order to put you hot beverage in a mug or plastic cup. So really it's so sad. The microplastics might be in all this food and then it ends up in our bodies. And then in the ocean or elsewhere. I've worked in restaurant with almost no plastic so I know it's doable and totally possible. I was hesitating with 4 stars because of that, but compared to what there is in Haines, it's still the best place in town despite that. Hopefully that will change soon. Thanks for everything.
Great Americano and drip coffee. We ended up going back after our tour and buying $75 CAD of coffee beans to bring home.
Good Coffee
Love this little market. Great coffee, ready made wraps, a different selection of food and booze. Highly recommend. Only warning... it's busier than ever at peak times.
The turkey pesto sandwich was so good! Lots of varieties of sandwiches, sweets and groceries. Staff were friendly too!
Absolutely delicious breakfast burritos! We were only in haines for a few days, and I am sad we didn't get a chance to eat there again. I'm a vegetarian and it's difficult to find places that cater to me - but this place had many options.
