Strange has a great atmosphere and neat drinks. It took a little bit to grow on me, but eventually, I figured out that their over-the-top sweet drinks are where this place really shines. So far, their espresso hasn't been anything to write home about. However, if you're looking to recapture the sticky-sweet joy of trying starbucks for the first time, strange is the place to go.

Place is great. They need more outlet to charge devices, but otherwise an excellent selection of goodies and coffee.

Great atmosphere for studying or relaxing alike. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. As a side note, UAs HVAC research group should take a trip here to admire and take notes on what may be the most powerful air conditioning system ever fitted to a commercial space.

Obsessed with this adorable coffee shop! They are always so quick. My coffee is always consistent, the staff is so sweet, their biscuit sandwiches and bakery treats are always amazing!! 10/10 recommend! Best coffee in Bama!

I was in town for the UA Alumni Track & Field Team reunion. After my run on Sunday morning, I stopped in for a latte. I ordered the two-flavor latte with caramel & white chocolate. It was one of the BEST lattes I've ever had! (And I lived in Portland, Oregon for over three years.) I also ordered a cinnamon roll. The icing on it was superb - it tasted homemade. My only semi-complaint was that Strange Brew didn't sell their mugs that they served coffee in (blue logo on one side, "Tuscaloosa Alabama" on the other). I asked to make sure. The next time I visit UA or go through Starkville, I will be going again!

Uniquely good coffee, good prices, & good service. Usually get plain coffee, but have had their baked goods. The coffee tasted unique, obviously having been a special blend. Prices were cheaper than Starbucks for coffee. The baked goods taste freshly made, and are unique takes on baked goods you find in coffee shops. The people at the counter are always polite and quick.

I’m so glad Strange Brew opened in town! Their coffee is absolutely delightful and everything I’ve tried has been delicious! All the folks that work there have been so kind and welcoming each and every time I’ve visited, and it’s been a lot since they’ve opened! If you’re in town, you MUST go!

Wonderful service from pleasant and cheerful people, and it's good to see a coffee shop that won't close early!

Great little coffee ☕️ shop. Cute atmosphere. The staff was friendly! I got a sausage ball... But it was cold, so I asked them to heat it up. They did.. it was still cold. So I'm not entirely sure their microwave works. Also the fact that they have to microwave the food is a little concerning. But I feel like if you pay for a sausage ball you should at least get it warm I did not.

Interesting new coffee shop in a great location. Has a lot of potential, but it still has a lot to figure out regarding the layout and actual coffee service. Once they get things figured out in a month or two, it should be a nice addition to the strip.

Great addition to the strip which was in desperate need of a reliable coffee shop. Birthday cake frappe was incredible and their oatmeal creme pie is a wonderful treat.

I tried this place opening weekend and greatly enjoyed my latte. There were other drinks on the menu that I wanted to try, so I came back the next weekend. I ordered the albino rhino, which is labeled as a cold brew made with their blueberry coffee and the flavors of their albino squirrel drink (white chocolate and hazelnut). When I asked about milk, I was told that it would not come with added dairy, and I could ask for some. I declined and waited for my drink to be made. Very quickly after I ordered my drink was announced, which was surprising as to how busy they were. The drink I was handed basically looked like an iced latte, and when I asked if this was correct I was told by a different person that all their specialty drinks come with milk unless told otherwise. I was taken back by this, as I was expecting a cold brew-like drink. They were nice enough to remake it, and I asked for just an albino squirrel latte instead because I had lost my desire to try the albino rhino. While I was happy they remade my drink, this latte is maybe half as good as the one last week. The idea of this place is great and they have a lot of great drink options, but I might recommend waiting a few weeks to visit until they have worked out all their quirks. Right now the wait is very long, many drinks were made incorrectly, and not all the workers are fully trained on the products. I also think if they would put customer names on their drinks like other coffee shops and not their drink names, order pick up would be a lot smoother.

This place is amazing and the coffee is to die for! It's small on the inside but it's very cozy. Strange Brew is an awesome addition to The Strip and Tuscaloosa! It's only been open since yesterday yet it's packed! So glad for the business owners! Roll Tide! 🐘
