Breakfast was good but pricey
The food was amazing. The place wasn’t packed which made the night pretty chill. The staff was very friendly too. I’m glad I tried this place. Will be back.
A winner ! At the corner of Government and Joachim and attached to the cool Admiral Hotel, Corner 251 has created an impressive and unexpected delight. Good strong coffee and home made muffins and scones in the morning to begin your Mobile day. And you must experience a terrific palate pleasing Bloody Mary, absolutely one of the best! The club sandwich and kettle chips for a snack or light lunch won me over. The lovely Brianna and handsome Harry will both charm you and take good care of you. Corner 251 is must visit. Keep up the good work.
My sister ordered us two cocktails during Mardi Gras. One of the servers asked how we were doing and I said I’d be embarrassed to serve these drinks. A gentleman came up and started confronting me asking if I know Alabama liquor laws. I said no, but I’ve had cocktails other places and they didn’t make me a 10 oz drink. He then proceeded to confront me. It’s supposed to be a Tom Collins. The glass is a 16oz cup and I haven’t had a sip yet.
Very good food. Big portions
I just had the turkey bacon club sandwich. Best one I have EVER had! It was huge so I was only able to eat half. I will definately bring a girlfriend with me next time to enjoy!
We had a lovely attentive server but she was under age and only server so we could not order alcohol. Whoever is in charge of scheduling needs to fix this as most adults do like to be able to order what is advertised on the menu. Nothing wrong with a bloody Mary for breakfast on vacation.
Great dishes
Reasonable prices and very friendly staff
My husband and I ate here before and we really enjoyed it. My husband and I went to go back to eat and we looking bery forward to it. We came at 3:16pm why is it that they don't have a sign that says their true office hours! They close from 2:00 to 5:00 and it's also not on Google or posted anywhere on the building that makes no senseay all amd is a terrible inconvenience for your customers! You all need to post all the times that you open and close we took a drive for nothing and wasted our money paying for parking! Ughhh...disgruntled customer. 😮💨
Such a pleasant surprise!!! Great service, great prices and great food! I had the chicken sausage gumbo and hubby had the blackened shrimp poboy. Both were VERY good. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews... we will be back next time we stay at the Admiral.
Have been in twice today and had a seat to never be acknowledged , they continued to walk right past us. we sat there 20 minutes each time! HORRIBLE
Had breakfast at this place this morning and it was awesome. Went back to have dinner and after we spent 10 minutes waiting for the server he told us they didn't have this, that, and the other. So we were trying to decide what else to order he abruptly said I am going to go because I have other people to serve. I understand that, however he was very rude. We left and ordered a Papa John's pizza.
MarilynJackson's Jambalaya is a delight! Henry's (missed his last name) suggestion how to order my picky 10-year-old's meal was providential. In a week of disappointing downtown meals, this was an absolute gem.
Slow service; greasy fries which has an up charge and it’s overpriced for what it is. Skip this.
Unexpectedly great food and also friendly staff. Grabbed coffee in the morning and once to avoid going out in the evening rain ordered dinner.
Fried green tomatoes are delicious
Great breakfast tacos. Enjoyed talking to Harry.
Austin!!!!! He’s the best bartender, offered lots of insight into Mobile and the food was number one-GOOD and number two-DECENTLY PRICED! This hotel offers it all, beautiful decor and tasty food and wonderful staff. If you’re a Mobile resident, it’s worth a peek for a happy hour!
ZERO STARS! The server/bartender on the lunch shift was horrible. There were 3 people at the bar and only 2 other tables in the place. NOT BUSY! My friends and I waited for a good 10 minutes before he even acknowledged us. Then he brought us 2 bottles of water and just set them on the table. No glasses?!? Then he disappeared for another 10 minutes and returned with a tray Dixie cups filled with ice water. He set a few of them down on the end of the table, then walked over to me, and rudely interrupted my conversation with "Hello? Ugh...are you gonna take this drink?" Stunned and appalled, I took the drink off the tray. He vanished for yet another 10 minutes. Then began chatting up a new guest that had just walked in. Since we were CLEARLY not a priority to your employee, we decided to leave in search of another lunch spot. He was visibly shocked at our departure. I only wished he'd bothered to introduce himself, so I could warn you all properly to avoid him at all costs. I spent nearly 20 years in restaurants and no matter my "mood", I NEVER made my guests serve themselves. I am usually an understanding guest and a VERY generous tipper. If "hospitality" and "charm" is what you are aiming at, Corner 251, you have sorely missed the target!
