Homey food, laid back service and atmosphere. Love the daily plates and the buffalo 🐔 sandwich. And that turnip green casserole was surprisingly yummy. Made my day.
Dirty restaurant, from top to bottom. Nasty tables,booths and chairs etc. The food tastes old,no flavor, sweet tea tasted like stale tap water, customer service stinks, all together grose and always having notten,oh old fries and such tastes like old nasty greasy. Yucky yuck. I know times are hard..but really?..
The food was great! The service was excellent! Love having the Christian music playing, too!! When I'm in town for work, I enjoy eating here. Today's fried chicken was great. Love the fried okra, too.
Wonderful downtown cafe with a daily blue plate special. Home cooking! Good prices!
Not a stand out as I was expecting it to be. The food was ok. . Fried chicken was greasy, & they were out of a couple of items. It was around 12:30 lunchtime & the place was about 1/3 full of patrons. The portions were not substantial & everything was priced ala carte. I thought it was a buffet, but that must have been at a different time. Service was good. I would probably give it a 2nd chance IF I was in the area but not a destination that I would drive to solely for the purpose of eating there. Did not have dessert.
Good country cooking with a down home friendly atmosphere. Food is served hot,fresh, and fast. Same employees ever time you come. Which is a rare thing these days. Prices are reasonable as will.
Great service and food. We have eaten here a couple times and are never disappointed. Hidden jem in our little town of Bay Minette.
Nice place. Very busy. Vegetables were great! Probably won't get the poppyseed chicken again. Very friendly staff. Would recommend
2nd time here & I ordered a mushroom cheese burger with onion rings & a sweet tea. The onion rings were cooked perfectly & the sweet tea was delicious. The burger was a bit over cooked but still edible. The price for all this was $17. The prices didn't match what was on the menu & I won't be ordering that anymore. A bit much for a burger! Let's blame it on COVID!😂 Came back & had the grilled pork chops for lunch and they were a little dry. The squash casserole was delicious. Sweet tea still Sweet!!
They only had blue plate items when I went so not alot of options, but I will definitely give them another try. The fried chicken was good

They have two different menus. The reason the service did not get five stars because the first time we went in there our waitress did not offer us the daily menu. The second time we went in there the waiter did offer us the daily menu and it was even better.
Have gave this place many try’s and it always has some form of disappointment but today was the worst of both worlds called it in they didn’t have but 1/3 meats left available at 12:30 so I got fried chicken for 2 plates to go with whatever sides they had left. Waited 20 minutes after they said it would be done to be informed they were now out of bone in chicken they said they could do tenders instead. They gave me 2 very small tenders the beans were almost inedible they were so dried up and hard and the corn bread was like a rock this was my 3rd attempt I will not go back I guess when it’s all you got to eat people enjoy it but I’d rather drive to the next town or go to Popeyes before getting their trash food again
