First of all, there was a great variety of coffee. Even they have a big variety of decaf coffee. So my cup of coffee was amazing. We have a good experience with food too. The Avocado salad was very good, the pizza was very good. My jackfruit burger was amazing. We had also dessert was very tasty. So, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. ❤️❤️❤️💙💛

One of the BEST restaurant I’ve ever eaten at! So many options! So delicious!! Yummy comfort foods. We had been traveling and Fortuitea was the best, most yummy and satisfying food we came across in our travels. A true, local gem!

I have been going to Fortuitea once a year for several years. I have been to probably quite literally hundreds of vegan restaurants, and many in the Pittsburgh/Western PA area, and NOTHING competes with Fortuitea. Over the years it has always been the same wonderful experience! It is where we choose to go for birthdays and special occasions because we love it THAT MUCH! The food is absolutely crafted with love and tastes like your grandma made it. Many of my non-vegan friends and family love it— it is not the stereotypical overly healthy or flavorless vegan food! It is dynamic and delicious and REAL! I love the service and how kind and personable the owners are. My favorite menu items are:
The buffalo chickpea Mac n cheese: after I tried this dish, I swore to get it every time and I have not gone back on that promise. It is absolutely amazing. I would sell my soul for the recipe.
The meat loaf: it’s just exactly what you want from a meat loaf. In every way.
The ice cream: so creamy and flavorful and does not make you feel heavy or gross after eating it!

This doesn’t even cover the wide selection of teas, which are in themselves amazing and bursting with flavor.

I love this place so much!!

One of the longest established vegan restaurants in the Pittsburgh area and their knowledge of how to turn plants into anything shows! The baked goods are amazing…I highly recommend anything that remotely resembles a cinnamon roll. They have a variety of options, including one that had an Oreo chocolate topping. The dough was so fluffy and perfectly baked. They also have a variety of deep dish pizzas, we tried the Buffalo cauliflower which was excellent. If you like your pizza less filled with stuff and more crunchy, be sure to ask for suggestions. They have many menu items not on display in their cases. We also tried the brownie and the raspberry bar, both excellent. The brownies are the really rich and gooey kind, they are so big you could probably share one four ways and nobody would be disappointed. They also make their own ice cream at the cafe, the owner’s personal favorite is cake batter. They even make custom order ice cream cakes (any cake for that matter). All this and a most unique coffee and tea bar, allowing diners to choose from a wide variety of flavors and types of teas and coffees, ground or steeped to order. Glad to have found this gem!

We had the royal afternoon tea! The food and service was excellent! There were cookies and salad and soup and sandwiches. The cashew dill ranch dressing was very tasty, as was the garlic potato soup- it had homemade garlic bread croutons in it! Definitely would recommend!

Came here on a Friday afternoon and my husband and I were very happy with our experience. They offer an extensive menu, all vegan with plenty of gluten free options as well--both very hard to find around the Washington area! He got the Buffalo Falafel pita, I got the Jackfruit Brisket panini. We went back and forth tasting eachothers, because both were so good!
Be advised, the dine in area is quite small. You may have to wait to grab a seat, but it's definitely worth it.
They also offer a great selection of tea, and make lattes as well!
I definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

My teen was looking for places that served afternoon tea and found this lovely cafe, so we took my grandmother on a Saturday and arrived just before noon. So many choices on the menu, but some were unavailable at the time.

Everything was made to order fresh, so please be very patient as there were only two exceptionally kind people working.

We ordered the bruschetta, apple walnut salad, impossible gyro, jackfruit brisket panini, as well as a freshly ground + brewed hot coffee, vanilla cortado, and iced latte. The food was absolutely amazing, portions were large, and well worth the wait. We got an Oreo sticky bun to go, but waited 15 minutes for it to come out of the oven.

Most of their pastries were sold out by the time we got there, but we also arrived at the same time as a 3 person tea party reservation. Then it got busy and some people left because they didn't want to wait. Overall we spent almost 2 ½ hours there.

They have an accessible entrance and very nice bathroom, but there is limited space inside so it's difficult to navigate if you have a wheelchair or mobility aid. Tables are packed together and you will brush past other people. Otherwise we had a wonderful time, highly recommend and will return again soon.

One of THE best vegan places to eat! Go here when you're not in a hurry to get somewhere else because everything is homemade... with a lot of love and care put into everything they make. Fabulous food, friendliest staff and fantastic tea, coffee, and desserts. We've been here several times. This time, we got a side salad, a seasonal soup (pasta fagoli), cashew Mac and cheese topped with bacon, and one of the specials: pierogies topped with Philly cheese steak fixins. We always get dessert too, forgot to get pics, but today we got brownies, a cinnamon roll and a pear strudel-like roll (my favorite out of everything today 💕) Everything was top-notch! We travel about 30 min to get there, but it's worth it.

Absolutely phenomenal. kind and friendly service from warm people. The menu was heartfelt, delicious, home made Slavic soul food. Fantastic desert options. This place is a must for all Vegans and those curious about veganism and what it has to offer.
