Very disappointed with them today. At least six people were hanging out sitting or standing within four feet of the cash register with no masks. There was another unmasked person at the register and at least two more shopping, maybe more but I left that place quick.

Such a charming quaint restaurant. Excellent food and service.

What a lovely little spot on earth. I sat down at Homestead for a little bit of work but I barely got anything done because the locals were starting conversations. I was not expecting this but, luckily, I was prepared with a well-recommended nitro cold brew. ๐Ÿ˜… I sure seemed wrong in that very local place but there was something about sitting on that porch really getting into that US small town feel... ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

This place has great sandwiches and coffee annd assorted baked goods and chips at a reasonable price. You can sit outside near the canal, inside, on the front porch. And lots of little tchsotchkes, jams and things. VERY laid back. I love this place.

Great place to stop at for regular/cold brew/nitro coffee, and your food orders have that personal touch that lets customers know they're valued. I like all the extra knickknacks and snacks for sale too.

Cozy and quaint. Homemade fresh to order. Self serve coffee, breakfast sandwiches that are delicious and served with a smile. Saturday's and Sunday's will be busy. Be patient with them. The general store attached has great stuff to look at while you wait.

The Homestead Store is one of my favorite places, the staff are always fantastic and chatting with the owners is great! The food is always very good and the atmosphere is fantastic! I wish I could give them a 10 star review!

Great coffee! They roast the beens right there on the property and have an amazingly large selection of nichรจ roasts and flavors. They also feature of different fairl- traded micro roasted beans from from all over the world seasonally. Such great brealfast/brunch and lunch. Ice cream is from local family own farm much like many of their products from foods to dry good; it says where it's from and what's in it and even who made it. They make a great baked oatmeal with fresh berries/fruit topping , good for any time of day. Pancakes are a favorite . Only complaint is that they're not open long enough for me. I'd sit out on the porch with my coffee late enough to see the fireflies light up the summer sky if the hours allowed. If you stop bring a dog treat for good ol Stretch, the resident would- be plate cleaner and absolutely the sweetest puppy eyes in the place. He's like the Homestead mascot . Love this place and love that it's right by the river, the the two locations are perfect companions and I think anyone can find something inside that will bring you back , and more than once!

I'm happy to give a 5 star review for the tasty food / coffee and the very friendly service.

Great place for Java:
2 dozen favors, both by the cup or bean bags-- plus specialty items like soaps & raw honey. They roast the Homestead blended Coffees right on the property. Always stop here for a 5 pound bag of coffee. Try the seasonally available Winter Roast.
Only way it's better is if all coffees were organic. A lot are, but not all.

UPDATE 2017: They now have organic certification on most(if not all?) coffees, so we've made this our daily cup of coffee for going on a few years now. Service remains STELLAR. Increasing to 5 stars from previous 4 bc they listened to customers and better-sourced their beans and we hope that continues.
