Today was my 2nd stop by Zummo's Cafe. So far, I love this place. The atmosphere is open and laid back, although I have yet to dine in this was my initial feel for the place. Today I had a perfectly cooked quiche, a giant scone, a home made muffin and a honey lavender latte- perfect for a rainy day. I also love the fact that most of the staff seemed to be female. Sorry, not sorry... I strongly recommend a stop for coffee, which they seem to have a wide variety, or a mid day snack!

Really beautiful building, lots of cool seating and ambiance. Unfortunately, the cost to quality is way off. $9 smoothie was tasteless, biscuit sandwich was decent, but needed more flavor.

This is my first time here but it is an enjoyable experience. The live music is good. Not very loud, so you can also have a conversation while they play.
There are even other patrons working on laptops while this is going on and they are not put off by it which is a good thing .

The people (staff, patrons, musicians, etc.) are very nice, courteous, and everyone is considerate of those around them.

For a first visit the experience is nice and I will most likely be back.

Best coffee shop outside of downtown. Ample street parking, but be prepared to combat the church crowd next door if you're there around service times on Sunday. Ample interior space with individual tables, makes it a great work spot. Music can be ran a little loud at times, and conversation acoustics are bad so bring headphones if you need quiet. Coffee is fresh and the food selection rotates and is good. They sell coffee beans from the local roaster, Electric City Roasting, but I don't understand how a local roaster can have beans on the shelf with a 1+month old roast date. Check the date of the bag before you buy, they can vary in freshness by several weeks. Only negative is the ordering experience / interaction with the staff. Sometimes they're incredibly friendly, other times you feel like you're the one responsible for them waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Sometimes you place your order at the pastry glass, sometimes you place your order at the register. Sometimes the person who takes your order makes your order. Sometimes the person who takes your order doesn't make it, and they either have to relay it to others, or you end up having to repeat it, or parts of your order lag behind or are forgotten and have to be reminded. Once the parts of your order are ready, they simply yell out what it is, not who's it is, so you get to the enjoy the awkward "Is that your bagel with cream cheese or is it mine?" with fellow customers. Overall its a great spot with good food and coffee, the front counter experience just really needs re-worked.

A wonderfully cozy cafe. I had a bad experience one day here during the pandemic but was informed by management that the overcrowding was due to an event they were hosting. I’ve stopped back in a few times after posting the review and can confirm that Zummos is everything it’s always been cracked up to be: a true treasure in the streets of Scranton. A lovey little cafe that houses indoor and outdoor seating with lovely baked goods and incredible coffee and tea.

Very nice coffee shop and very friendly and nice lady who prepare the coffee. The place is quiet and charming. They have a great specialty coffee. The prices are very good.

I would consider Zummos to be in the top tier of coffee shops in Scranton. There's always a good selection of coffee and other drinks (smoothies are superb). I almost always find a seat. For those looking to study and/or work, Zummo's is a great overall choice for a cafe.
