Such a delightful quaint place! Exceptionally clean, friendly staff, delicious food. Excited to have a local eatery in this neck of the woods!

This is the kind of place you want to give a bad review to keep people away and keep it to yourself, lol! Seriously though, what a fantastic place to get breakfast. I got the eggs, home fries and sausage gravy. My wife got the pancake home fries and bacon. She also got a frappe. Everything was fresh, made and delicious. Service was fantastic and we bought some baked goods for tomorrow. This will definitely be a regular stop for us.

Brickhouse is a breakfast and lunch Cafe with great coffee, friendly staff and clean facilities.
I like the Brickhouse burger and have gotten the burger "to go" a number of times. (Call ahead these Amish have biz phones.) Since I like the Brickhouse Burger I thought I would try the Brickhouse Omelette for breakfast. [See photo]
If you like the tangy Brickhouse Burger, the Brickhouse Omelette is similar. It has a savery spiced (not spicy hot) sausage which I like, bacon (flavorful) and that tangy almost BBQ flavored sauce inside the egg & cheese Omelette which gives it that Amish flavor profile.
What surprised me, was the arrival of the toast. It was Amish baked farmhouse bread! Yummy. [See photo of wheat bread toast w/ a white bread option.]
[I ordered pancakes to go for someone at home and they said they were a bit dry and they are not a fan of margarine.]
Some logistics of which to be aware:
1.) There is additional parking on the side of the Brickhouse while the front has a disability parking space near the front door.
2.) Make sure you pick up your own silver wear [not to keep - 🙂] in a basket on the counter so you have utensils for eating.
3.) Get off your "English" butt [😁] and serve yourself your own coffee with lots of options at the self serve coffee bar.
4.) There is an extra fee added to your bill if you use a credit card to pay.
5.) Police officers were eating there when I arrived so that may be a good indicator that our People in Blue like the Brickhouse coffee options. [ Sorry couldn't resist. I do honor your service. ]
6.) Real Amish with big SMILES cook your food which makes it a great place for those visiting Lancaster County.
Just turn off Rt. 222 by the Refton Fire Co. sign.

I love coming here for breakfast! The egg & ham bagel is delicious and the staff is very nice. Very cute atmosphere as well.

What a cute place! It's in a really old house, and it was so interesting to learn about its history. The manager was so friendly and was aware of my gluten allergy, and was very accommodating. It is so lovely to see a place have food options for me!

Excellent chicken salad wrap. Pleasant, unique atmosphere. Very clean and welcoming restaurant. One friend got breakfast and said it was very good. Sadly I was too full for dessert. Home baked goods by Amish that make you drool! Will recommend and return.

Iced coffee was amazing pretty sure they make their own coffee and use their own milk.

First time visiting this restaurant. Very good food and for as busy as it became the service was relatively quick. Excellent coffee and a wonderful place to meet just for the sake of hanging out. Be prepared to wait because on a Saturday morning I believe they get extremely busy.

The left hand doesn't to the right hand. This was the first time trying this place and we were not inpressed. They were not overly busy but my London fog came out after we were done eating. They never gave my wife her cup for coffee until we asked. They should have given it to us at the register. The stuffed French toast was decent but the cream cheese was not sweetened or flavored. My wife's pancakes were very flat.
All in all everyone was very nice but not a place I'll come back too.

We had takeout from there once a few weeks ago, it was good. We stopped by to eat in today around 1:30pm. I ordered a Cheddar Burger and my Wife ordered a bowl of Cheesy Potato soup. The waitress then told us that not only were they out of burgers, but they only had a cup of soup left. Not a good way to operate ANY business. I will say that it was very clean, but we will NOT be going back.
