Got the vegan breakfast burrito. Note to kitchen: tofu and potatoes taste a lot better with seasoning and spices—like, any at all. Just because it’s the vegan option doesn’t mean it has to be flavorless!
Excellent muffin from Crust, though.

We were there for the open mic night. Great fun. Staff was friendly, attentive and genuinely caring about the service and quality of our order. Food and drinks were tasty and presented well. A nice place that we will visit again to try more menu items and a beer tasting. You'll enjoy this establishment.

By far the best coffee in phoenixville.
I love the warm and inviting vibe of this place, and I’ve never had a bad experience eating here.
The owners actually care about the community and you can really tell based on the way you’re treated at steel city.

Friendly, wholesome, authentic, and such a great vibe. The Spirit of Universe is in the building doing great work. Old, new, fast friends, lover's, and soloist all present in conversations, meditation, and contemplation. What a great atmosphere to chill out while listening to good tunes playing in background. I had the tofu scramble, it'sfantastic. So was my cinnamon maple syrup latte w/ oatmilk. Most all the service here was outstanding. These folks are great. Thanks guys. You made me feel welcome and at home.

Great place for coffee and soup on a cool day of cycling

We had a great time FINALLY visiting this historic venue. While the sound and presentation were perfect, the welcoming homelike atmosphere Ed and Julie provide was much appreciated to a pandemic weary community. Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary from us (and all the Malelani community)!

Nice vibe. A little busy, which should be interpreted as energetic more than distracting. I had the vegetarian broccoli and chickpea soup. It was delicious! The coffee was okay. I just had the dark roast house coffee. The primary complaint was the temperature. It was somewhat warm, but nowhere near as hot as it should have been. The menu was varied, serving breakfast all day. Plenty of spots to plug in a laptop and stay for a while. Seating was average. Not uncomfortable, but it might be after an hour. I would go back, mostly because of the menu and it's a place you can 'just be' for a while.

Steel city offers tasty drinks with milk alternatives; breakfast and lunch items, with vegan and gluten free options. I highly recommend their iced chocolate chai! They are open seven days a week; street parking available and the staff is very friendly. Checkout their website for brewery and live evening music information.

I recently visited for the first time and had a delicious cappuccino and also a toffee biscotti. The atmosphere is eclectic and relaxed. It was a perfect place to sit and have a conversation. Good use of the space available for seating. Would love to come back and catch an open mike night.
