Romolo Chocolates

Wonderful shop, wonderful family who owns it. The comments claiming anything otherwise are just people jumping on a false bandwagon of lies.

I have lived in Erie,PA my entire life and believe it or not, have never visited the cafe and gift shop location on West 8th Street. Let me just say, i was totally impressed with my experience !!! The location is beautiful and first class! it makes you feel like you are in a much larger market size. The professionalism is great too! The candy has always been dynamite, but the ice cream is delicious. The outdoor seating of the cafe is very relaxing. I will be definitely be returning soon. 5 stars!

Wonderful atmosphere and staff. A great place to start your day with coffee and some chocolates.

One thing I miss about Erie after moving away is Romolo's hot chocolate. It's absolutely insane.

Romolos has the best chocolates that I have ever had, best tea, best cookies and overall best chocolate shop I have ever been to. my boyfriend has always taken me there to get the best goodies (both seasonal and original), I even was able to purchase him a great selection of chocolates on his birthday while I was in the hospital after delivering our first child together. My sister was able to pick it up. best part is they adjusted so well to the COVID, even my sister loved their chocolate covered cherries I ordered for her. She use to work at a chocolate factory in Buffalo and she agreed Romolos is on our top list. Also my 4 month old son has a cute romolos teddy that he loves to smile at.

I was going to visit once in 2021, but it was closed due to COVID-19.

It’s a nice place but the owner is very rude. they don’t customize your drink as well. I ordered a latte with 1.5 shots of espresso instead of 2, shorty after the owner came out to my table and said we don’t change our drink and ordered me not to ask it next time. He also ordered me to sit in one of high top tables while there were plenty of seats and tables available in the store. This is the first time I see the owner comes out and specifies where to sit in a coffee place. Very disappointing.. during our conversation he directed me to the exit door..it was very unprofessional.

Delicious sweets and great coffee. The ambience is fantastic and it is located next to the arboretum. This is a great place to get any time of the year. Get the banana hot chocolate!!!!

I found Romolo when I searched best ice cream spots in Erie. I'm very glad I chose to stop. The ice cream was super good. The flavors were unique and tasty. I had the granola ice cream and the gingerbread ice cream. They were both great. The gingerbread was especially good. I will definitely be back!
