Amazing chocolate. Definitely worth the trip if visiting Erie. There is also a cafe with baked goods(awesome sugar cookies), ice cream and various drinks such as espresso/coffees/teas/hot chocolate as well as a gift shop in the center. They have indoor seating in the cafe and outdoors on their patio.

Awesome amazing desserts. It is a bit expensive as far as Erie restaurants go, however their products are top notch. The atmosphere is very inviting, especially on a nice summer evening. I recommend this establishment.

The best chocolate in Erie. Period. Made the mistake of buying chocolate from one of the other big names in town for Valentines Day a few years back. I thought that maybe she would like to try something else. WHAT WAS I THINKING? There is not one thing that they make that is not top notch. Chocolate, coffee, and their baked goods are all fantastic.

Great service, well-kept shop, and the chocolates are 11/10! Highly recommend, not only for chocolate lover but also those who care to dabble once in a while like myself

Located on 8th street across from the park and next to country fair gas station the structure is clearly marked and easily accessible. Parking out front convenient with handicapped spots and wheelchair accessibility. The store front houses a restaurant/cafe on the left a gift store in the middle and a chocolatier on the right. Upon entry of the chocolate store there are a series of rows selling candies boxed milk and dark truffles molded chocolate forms as well as other confections like the famous sponge candy. Staff helpful and friendly. The chocolate is a must if you are passing through Erie. Would recommend stopping in for a treat.

I recently stopped to purchase a dozen chocolate covered strawberries (my favorite). Romolo’s has always been a real treat with fantastic strawberries. Unfortunately, this time the quality of the strawberries was not up to Romolo’s usual standards. I called the store (as I live 50 miles away) and asked to speak with the owner, who was not in. He did call me back the next day, but immediately accused me of a.) calling the wrong store and that I had actually purchased my strawberries at his competitor’s place down the road (I hadn’t - I didn’t know who the competitor was), and b.) that I must’ve been mistaken in the quality as he buys “only the best strawberries from California,” and that the strawberries “are hand-picked” by his staff to only include “the best” for dipping. When I tried to explain that I was not asking for a refund, only reaching out as a courtesy to let the owner know of a possible “bad batch” as his quality is usually superb, he was condescending and dismissive of my comments and as soon as HE was finished speaking, he hung up abruptly.

Everyone says Pennsylvania chocolate is the best.
Coming from Chicago I had to check it out.
Taking one bite of this chocolate heard I can’t wven begin to describe the bliss it was in each bite!
I’m not one for self control but I almost ate the whole box once opening it.
Will be going back for more!!

The fact Romolo wastes manpower on producing chocolate in shapes like 20-year-old Nokia cellphones & similar useless things baffles me. A bewildering variety of such shapes which have no sensible purpose is offered. Other than that I like the products.
