Fern Restaurant & Lounge

Lots of food. Staff super friendly. Unfortunately hashbrowns were greasy and biscuits were underdone. No flaky or lightness to them. But I want to say there were a steady stream of customers.
Definitely going to come back and try the salad bar.
Prices were very good!

Frequented by lots of locals but not to my taste. Large portions, good service. However, there is a good mom and pop bakery just next door.

The customer service was excellent! We had a drink and gambled while waiting for our to go order. Food came out faster than expected. My buddy got the western fern burger with fries. The burger was great but the fries got soggy by the time we got home. That happens sometimes with take out so no big deal. I got the grilled chicken salad and it was perfect except for the broccoli could have been cut into smaller chunks. I was very happy with everything!

Low service level, short and abrupt. 2 tables including us and 3 on floor. No back of the house work going on, personal conversations seem to be key. Our third visit. It has been so lackluster, assumed it's an off day. I now believe this is a service standard and not just a bad event

My Husband and I had breakfast here on our way home from the beach. The food was delicious and the service was good. The employees were all very nice.

I got the club sandwich and it was so good! They were fast on making our food and the service was great. Very cute little spot to stop and eat in Tillamook!

Fish n Chips were AWFUL. Fish was hard crunchy crust inside was not done. Creamer for my tea was bad and curdled when added to my cup of tea. All they could say was sorry we are short staffed.

The service was excellent! The food was good, we had a steak, oyster basket, and steak fingers. The steak fingers, we probably wouldn't order again they lacked flavor. The fries were wonderful they are fresh if you get regular, but you can also have sweet potato, tots, crinkle cut or onion rings 🥰 love the options. If you're a salt & pepper shaker collector then there is a surprise small collection of new and old fun shakers!

I had no particular expectations of this place but the dinner my wife and I received was truly sub par. I went with a simple cheese burger and fries assuming that would be a safe bet, but the burger was indifferent at best and the fries were genuinely terrible. Limp, oily, burned on the outside and nearly raw on the inside. My wife went with the chicken dinner. Chicken was dry, potato was fine, but there was no hint of a vegetable of any sort save a minestrone soup that failed to impress. The Fern is a simple family dining establishment. It would not be fair to hold it to a fine dining standard. But it failed to meet even the modest standards one might assume by looking at a menu or spotting it as one drove by.

The Fern has excellent food with lots of menu choices. The wait staff are the best; excellent service. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Great place to meet up with tillamook locals. Highly recommend eating here.
