Osprey Cafe is fantastic, the workers are kind and welcoming and the breakfast is top notch. Every time we come to seaside we make sure to stop in. The cafe is a bit small and the wait can be long at times, but worth it

I was good and didn't have a breakfast cocktail, but it was so tempting. Ordered the huevos rancheros made with arepas- so damn good. The whole thing was seasoned really well, too. I love big flavors and they really impressed me. Discovered this place by accident and I'm so glad I did.
Also! It was super full and busy, but I don't think I waited more than 10 minutes for my order. Kudos for kickass kitchen times during a rush. Those guys know what they're doing. (Everyone up front was super sweet and nice, too!)

You know my motto...if there is a line outside the door, take a number. Small bfast locale with solid reviews was good enough to try it out for the first time. 30m wait to be seated...all good, went for a small walk along the boardwalk 1 block away. Not into walking? Grab a cup of coffee or xpresso and wait outside. Option to sit outside and bypass the wait on non summer months...your call. Seated, ordered and food delivered in sub 15m was decent considering some of the reviews. Then again, time of day will be dependent on your wait time. Serving sizes appeared to be large considering some left with take out boxes. Price wise average for boutique cafe but hey, if your going to eat here, you are ready to fork out more than what it takes to make on your own. Alcoholic beverages served including the signature bacon infused vodka bloody mary. Overall, not bad considering the flock in town goes to the "pig n' blanket" pcake and this is off the key crowded area. Clever dinner idea x 2 nights for ramen.

Best breakfast in seaside! We stayed in town for about a week and ate there every day. The eggs Benedict is to die for! If you are not a fan of bay shrimp ask for smoked salmon instead. Either way, best breakfast I have had in a while.

Excellent place for breakfast/brunch. I wish they took reservations as we had a moderate party (6) and the wait was over an hour.

What a jem!! Good food - fresh, interesting and very tasty. My fruit even had mango and kiwi fruit in it! Friendly and helpful service. Family friendly and great atmosphere filled with a heart warming hub of excited chatter and sporadic laughter.

Well my Indonesian wife enjoyed her Nasi Goreng breakfast plate. That means, the management/ owner care about their business, also courteous staffs....and hats down to the chef.

The food was good. And we walked the beach during the wait time.
It was rather loud and cramped seating

Had a very interesting breakfast this morning. A cozy little cafe called The Osprey, on Ave U, in Seaside serves an imaginative variation on huevos rancheros. My initial reaction was “what the f@ck is this?” The eggs are supposed to go ON the beans, not next to them. And what’s this stuff on the beans? Is that tuna on the black beans? Have I mentioned that I love black beans? A quick taste tells me that it’s finely shredded chicken, marinated in something very tasty. I almost regretted that it wasn’t tuna. That would have been interesting AND appropriate for a seaside town.
So I rearranged the food, putting the eggs on the beans, where they belong. The home fries were very tasty, as were those little round cakes. I can’t remember what they’re called but I really enjoyed the combination of taste and texture that was reminiscent of the potato knishes that I learned to love growing up in Brooklyn. By the time I finished eating I decided that I had no complaints about the quality of the food, but I don’t know if “huevos rancheros” is the right name for the dish. Where’s the tortilla?
