Food was decent, but could have been seasoned better. It was very busy when we were there. We felt pretty rushed once we we seated. Got the check just after our food was served. Overall was decent. Just wasn't nice to be rushed when we had waited 45 minutes for a table.

Delicious food. Unique menu. Lots of vegeterian options. Seaside needs more restaurants like this.

Had such high hopes! Came for Saturday brunch. Cute place but SMALL. Service was friendly & totally what I would expect. The big disappointment here was the food especially for their points. I ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs & it was probably the worst avocado toast that I have gotten out. The “avocado” tasted like it was bulk “guacamole” out of a tub from Sysco & the bread tasted like it was out of a plastic bag. My husband got the huevos rancheros - better, but still not great & a tiny portion. We ended up going to Finn’s Restaurant the next day & the food was SO much better.

This place was such a delight. We had been looking around online and noticed the high rating. There is a reason it has this rating. The staff is helpful and makes suggestions. The restaurant is cozy and the food is so wonderful.

Amazing! Conscientious local restaurant that understands the importance of high quality local and organic ingredients. Excellent, Chef! Wonderful breakfast and lunch, nothing better than this in the area. Everything is prepped from scratch 100%, no shortcuts, you can tell they take pride in how their food is cooked and it shows.

Food was delicious. Recommend the egg and bacon breakfast sandwich.

We ordered several burgers to go, the koji, the 101 and the Korean chicken. All were great, nice thick burger patties, and the potato skins are a nice change from fries. The flavors were great and the portion sizes are spot on. The order came out quickly too. Will definitely try the breakfast menu and dine in next time we go.

Fantastic little eatery in Seaside. Good food, awesome service!! And great prices. Just a wonderful little spot all round for breakfast and lunch.

There are so many different reasons why an experience at a restaurant can fall to subpar. Based on reviews from online sources and local recommendations, Osprey Café wouldn’t disappoint. I’m not sure what went wrong, because my experience was, simply put, meh.
I tried calling ahead to place an order for pick up. The person who answered asked if I could be placed on hold for a moment. It was the lunch hour so that was expected. However, I waited on hold for 6 minutes before I decided to hang up and waddle my way down to place an order in person. There weren’t too many groups waiting for orders outside. I able to do so immediately. I’m not sure what the deal was but I ended up waiting 25 minutes for a salad. By then I was really hungry and eager to enjoy a good meal. Sadly, it wasn’t very good.
I ordered a House Salad with Grilled Chicken (a salad of tossed greens, picked onions, Gorgonzola cheese and croutons with roasted garlic vinaigrette, topped with grilled chicken breast, $12.00) and one arepa (with chiltomate sauce ($3.25). First off, there was no dressing. I’m sure they forgot to mix it in or place it in our bag because the only thing adding flavor was the grilled chicken which wasn’t very tasty either. I ended up mixing in the chiltomate sauce that came with my arepa. Second, the chicken made my stomach very uncomfortable, the same feeling I get whenever I eat chicken that has a lot of preserving chemicals. Third, the arepa was so small! Personally, $3.25 for such a tiny cake is very expensive. And knowing what goes into making them, they could be bigger for the price. It was also super plain and not very good compared to arepas I’ve had elsewhere.
Overall this Osprey Café experience fell short despite all the raving reviews and whatnot. Maybe I just ordered the wrong menu item? Maybe it was a bad day, someone didn’t show up for work? I’m not sure, but I’m also not sure if I would come back.

Friendly service and great menu. We had the special during our visit which was fried chicken, homemade biscuits and green tomato jam. It was one of the best things I have ever tasted. The chicken was fried perfectly, the biscuit was butter, and the jam was a delightful surprise. Sadly for the dog, he could not sway me with his puppy dog begging eyes. Normally I would spare a bite or two for him, but not this time. This sandwich was all mine.
